Why does he never fly or do anything else birdlike? Rigby behaves like a real raccoon (he runs on all fours and digs stuff out of the trash) but Mordecai never behaves like a real bird.
He could have just flown out of that hole in the ground, he didn't have to use a martial arts technique.

>The anthropomorphism in Regular Show is just cosmeti-ACK!
I don't know. I guess the writers thought it would be too convenient if Mordecai could just fly whenever he wanted.
Imagine the scene where he tries to save Margaret's dad, all of the tension would be gone if he could just fly.
Actually I think this reason makes the most sense
>he could just fly out the volcano
>he could just fly to the end of the race when they fixed their sleep schedule.
>why ask benson for his car if he can fly and put rigby on his back
Can’t they just fly or at least go pretty long distances with Death Kwon Do?
How underused was Death Kwon Do btw?
It only appeared in a few episodes related to it.
Man, there's at least a couple-dozen episodes when they could have used Death Kwon Do.
That would require them having jorts and mullets constantly.
normal words, but a bird guy!
Same reason that Benson isn't dead, and that Gene can walk. It's not supposed to make sense in that universe. Plus, Mordecai isn't bright (like Rigby), so any time they're in danger flying doesn't pop up in his bird brain. Also, his arms aren't exactly wings so maybe his family gave up the ability to fly to fit into society, I guess...
Normal words but a blue jay guy
Looks at his proportions bro his ass is not flying anywhere
same reason disney ducks dont fly. they all have arms and feathers but they dont have wings. but they are ducks. how bout that!
What about that thing he did in the solid episode?
Rigby doesn't do that stuff because he's a raccoon, he does that stuff because he's a weirdo.
>Rigby doesn't do that stuff because he's a raccoon
Yes he does
No one else in his family does that stuff. No one else in the series acts like the animal they look like. He may do raccoon specific things because he is one but his motivation for acting like an animal at all instead of a normal-ass person is because he's impulsive, lazy and maladjusted.
>Canonically said that he liked food out of the trash cause "it tastes better" in the Margaret's Diary episode.
You are not one to deny a raccoon his nature.
He traded functional wings for hands
