Modern movies suck so hard now and it's because of homosexuals like you.
This movie was pure shit. It manages to be worse than the previous two solo Spider-Man movies but because it has the other Spider-Man actors and their villains it's considered good.
I wouldn't call it great but it did have something new to look forward to with the inter-dimensional spidermen interacting but it really doesn't hold up for multiple viewings. Like a horror movie, once all the surprises are spoiled you're kind of left with a mediocre action flick with a weak story.
Because you can't take it in a vacuum. It completely relies on pre existing movies and at best you can call that a cowardly move.
It's good because it made the character act like himself for once. Sure, his supporting cast is still ass and the death of his hippie aunt fell flat, but it's still a major improvement from the past sociopath zoomer tiktok making power trips. Will they follow up on it? Probably not, but it was refreshing.
MCU was always shit, only Guardian of The Galaxy is a good movie. And Yes, Tobey and Andrew were carrying this ugly and boring Iron Manlet Jr.

It was a good movie which the others are not.
It completely wastes Tobey and Andrew. It’s entertaining but messy, with the villains’ motivations not entirely making sense and cheap melodrama to raise the stakes. Spider-Man is just a fun superhero to watch on the screen. Even the worst Spider-Man movies are passable superhero films unlike Shang-Chi or the new Thor.

I'll reevaluate this when they release the director's cut, but I remember thinking to myself this movie is garbage and the laziness of the script is on the same level as MoM or Thor 4. Of those I thought Multiverse of Madness was the most entertaining one. I didn't even understand why people loved the exploitative nostalgia bait. Tobey Maguire is so lame in the movie and isn't even playing Peter Parker from the old movies. He just looks like a divorced dad spitting bad MCU quips. I thought people would've been mad about how they treated their favorite characters, but I guess Zoomers have never seen the Raimi movies anyway.

all the best things about this movie were from non-mcu movies and those actors performances. I do like where they leave off mcu-peters story, but given the rest of the current mcu my hopes for the next installment are low

I shit on it because it makes zero sense for Peter to let all the fricking villains out to "help" him the way he did before he's fixed any of their shit. Zendaya's acting was garbage. Beyond that she's ugly and unfit for the character she read lines like she was filming the female Ghostbusters reboot. That fricking scene where fat asian stereotype is using the magic ring and she's like "Try again! Try again! We gotta help!" her line delivery sounded straight out of that fricking movie. They probably told her to ad-lib.
