out of context. The flash and Alfred are under mind control, Bruce was going to knock out Alfred, but the controller (poison ivy) used Barry as a barrier. hence the "would you like to try again?" (still punching a mind controlled Alfred seems a bit much, but, ya know, comics.

I agree with the sentiment that flash should lose to no one in the JL.

Because he is lazy or too stupid to use his powers at its full potential. The same way Control Freak from Teen Titans does not summon a monster/villain canonically inmortal to defeat the heroes. It's the "Hol Horse effect" all over again

Because 99% of the time in the comics he's a street level jobber. Just because he, once in a blue moon, gets a You Say Run moment doesn't mean that he's consistently this strong and can kill everyone on Earth in less than a second.

      >Because 99% of the time in the comics he's a street level jobber
The guy that had a African gorilla or guys from the future isn't a street level hero.
Is like saying Hal or Zatara were Street Level because Black hand.
And Hal felt more like a jobber , his early issues were him being clumsy

Most of the time everyone in Marvel/DC is a street level hero. There are a frickton of moments where Superman getting koed by a gasoline explosion, Ghost Rider potentially dying to a speeding train, Thor getting hurt by Fortnite characters (which is canon btw) etc.. it's easier to write stories about street guys I guess.

        >And Hal felt more like a jobber , his early issues were him being clumsy
Considering the amount of head trauma Hal gets, it's a miracle he can even walk at all.

That seems sketchy with Thawne running around being exactly as OP as you say Flash isn't. Writers define speedsters as insanely broken until the story requires them to be much weaker than narration say. Flash is faster than Superman but Deadshot managed to get him with a rifle because plot.

      >Because 99% of the time in the comics he's a street level jobber.
Flash being comparable to Superman in speed is a consistent part of his capabilities and out of the many times they race Flash more often than not is faster.
Faster than Superman is not "street level".

flash doesn't turn his rogues into blood smoothies because 1. he respects them and 2. if he escalates the conflict they'll respond in kind, which means more trouble for everyone. including bystanders.

This don't make any sense, flash can easily just knock them out, It's like time is eternally paused for him. And how exactly they are gonna scalete, Against a guy that moves in near incalculable speeds ?

Was just talking about this shit with my friend its why power feat bullshit is so stupid, it completely ruins suspension of disbelief alot of the time, he should just be the fast guy, I don't need to know that he can move 58 million times in a millionth of a pico second, its fricking stupid and it makes me wonder why anyone would ever be able to touch him, let alone why would there ever be any sort of problems in the world when this guy could solve virtually every problem

        This

Thats the problem with DC and Marvel. Hell, any long running action series that deals with powers and shit. The characters become so buttfrickingly powerful that nothing should be a challenge for them. So they have to come up with bullshit like "holding back" When anyone with half a braincell would blitz the fricker and be done with it.

Yeah. Slade being able to counter him doesn't make sense either.
