Utopia was a B+ show with an S tier soundtrack that fooled you into thinking it was better than it was
when The Mirror and the Light finally comes out we'll have bong kino again
soundtrack so good it causes this autist to type this. bros why can't anyone make this good of a soundtrack again
same dude did the White Lotus soundtrack which sucks and sounds like Cut Hands b-sides. Utopia was just something special and inexplicable man
>lockdown
>location book
>filming around Tom Holland's 2020s schedule
I agree its worrying but more understandable than most delayed projects
>when The Mirror and the Light comes out
3.5 years is too long, I'm worried. the writers could have had advanced copies as well.
>The Mirror and the Light
The book was ass so I'd be surprised. Can't brits stop sucking off Henry VIII shit already? Is british history so slop they have to rehash the same time period over and over again?
it's not as good as the first two books but it's still excellent, and the prose is an effective midwit filter. The execution scene has stuck in my mind for years now
bong keep rehashing tudor history because it's the only historical period women like
>a B+ show with an S tier soundtrack that fooled you into thinking it was better than it was
It predicted covid and the clotshots very accurately. Janus is a two part system
frick off, contrarian moron
to be clear, I consider B+ to be a good show worth watching
The system is designed to prevent it. There have been a few that managed to slip through the gaps though, such as Taboo, season 1 of The Terror, and Chernobyl.
Taboo is so fricking bad and so fricking good at the same time - how did they do it. It's the show that dreck like Sons of Anarchy jerks off to while it cries itself to sleep.
>season two never ever
Mmhmmm
Straddling the boundary between cringe and kino and occasionally falling over to one side for a while is Stephen Knight's speciality. He also wrote Peaky Blinders.
Should I actually watch Peaky Blinders? I only know it through the memes.
Even the people who liked it think it goes completely to shitcringe eventually, might be worth trying
Thanks.
its not as terrible as its memed to be but the soundtrack is completely unendurable
Whenever you think Ada becomes too prominent, stop watching.
Her screen time is directly proportional to how awful the show progressively gets.
No. I couldn't even make it through the first episode because of how awful the soundtrack is. Don't believe anyone saying "it gets cringe eventually", it is cringe from the start
It goes completely off the rails in the middle of the third season. One of the most over-rated shows in TV history. Obsessing over fricking monkeys and allowing a fricking coon impregnate his sister, all the while the show pretends to be about the Irish brotherhood.
>Obsessing over fricking monkeys and allowing a fricking coon impregnate his sister, all the while the show pretends to be about the Irish brotherhood.
Ummm darkies straight out of Africa are just as Irish as Michael Collins himself so long as they subscribe to our culture-defining value of tolerance sweety 🙂
Just like how Britain's defining cultural value is tolerance of diversity. And France's defining cultural value is tolerance of diversity. And Germany's defining cultural value is tolerance of diversity.....
In fact, we've decided that the only thing that defines any European culture is love of diversity! Anyone can join in and if you disagree then you're basically a traitor! >:(
>The system is designed to prevent it
This. The kinds of gatekeepers you'd expect keeping out talented white men.
>UK productions
>he tries to force in US politics
frick off
You're really going to pretend there's no anti-whiteness at the BBC?
Can't say that I've noticed it. The most I've noticed is more indians and pakis being used as opposed to yesteryear but not to an insane degree to call it a bias.
>interracial romance in the first few episodes
They've always been like this, haven't they?
The Devil's Hour from last year was kino
no it wasn't
its a shame, 10 years back if you watched a bbc series chances were it was really good, now its the complete opposite for years now.
is that the guy from misfits
The black guy yeah
Channel 4 only made good shit back in the day.
Then it all changed after Big Brother
There are loads of recent kinos from the UK though
In that pic, Jessica looks like that meme of the zesty guy shuffling along and everyone checking out his ass
>looks at woman
>starts thinking about assfricking a guy
the internet has rotted your brain
She's doing the same pose you dunce, it's a meme. You're the one here bringing up bum blasting
no one here knows about your /lgbt/ memes anon. We just know that you're looking at a woman and thinking about man ass
>brings up assfricking unprovoked
>/lgbt/
just digging yourself deeper and deeper
she's got a weird ayy lmao face but god I'd frick the life out of her
She got blacked though
And how shit it was, when she could have gone the /ss/ route instead
The actress for Jessica was good in Foundation
Season 2 was a real banger, I hope they confirm season 3 soon, Goyer said on the podcast that he'd already written it before the writers strike started.
The Inbetweeners is literally the only good show from bongland
because they discovered that panelshit was easier and cheaper to make
Because the sovl of our nation has been gutted by modernity
1) because once America supplanted the UK as the world superpower and made bad ass movies, everyone else's movies, especially the brit's, were rendered obsolete and inferior.
2)the UK is nothing but a miserable little island of suffering and hardship. They can't make good films with that kind of culture.
3)the brits are inferior try hards who, in trying to be the best, only show they are inferior and afraid.
4) there's no reason to pay attention to anything British anymore.
5)britain is poor and can't afford a can of petrol to make an explosion in a film, so all their stories revolve around shit you can do for free, like some wives and husbands constantly cheating, or some kid fricking his sister and getting his mom pregnant or some shit.
I'm on season 6 of Shetland now and it's pretty good
The USA version of this show is so unbelievably awful. I'm still butthurt we'll never get season 3
>A show about israeli elites intentionally sterilizing everybody except themselves using weaponized flu viruses and government mandated vaccines.
>Why don't we make more shows like this?
Why indeed. Why indeed.
didn't it turn out they were gypsies
The chief scientist was a gypo, but the elites behind it all weren't
thankyou I remember now
It was a fricking weird decision casting based McDiarmid only to have him wander around speaking gibberish for most of the show
He want a gypsies, he was Romanian israeli. They talk about him being in the holocaust or something at one point. The virus axine literally only saves israeli people and kills everyone else. That's why Wilson Wilson took over at the end, because the vaccine wasn't supposed to be prejudiced but it was because of Jessica Hyde
Romani, not Romanian. Gypos were in the holobunga as well
Same difference
why does nobody I'm these threads mention the missing?
James Nesbitt has this strange ability to memory hole anything he stars in. Murphy's Law, Jekyll and Cold Feet were all huge when they were airing, and then completely disappeared from the public consciousness
He's a good actor but somehow a violently unlikeable screen presence.
He's a great character actor who fooled the world into thinking he's a leading man, more power to him I guess
he'd be a superb bond villain
All our culture is made by soulless London yuppies because of the centralisation of the media economy there. No Granada Television etc. and no working-class screenwriters, just smug art school c**ts.
The BBC stopped making big budget prestige shows after Rome underperformed and War & Peace bombed, and they lost a lot of talent they have yet to replace after moving to Salford
Channel 4 realised there was more profit in churning out low budget comedy slop like Taskmaster and panel shit
Nobody worth a fart wants to produce shows for Sky/Murdoch
everyone else is irrelevant
>War & Peace bombed
It did? It was kino
it was kino, also got lower viewer numbers than Antiques Roadshow
I want to frick Lily James so bad. Her dumper is made for facesitting, and man, I would eat her for an hour before dicking her.
>diversity hires
