The only people who actually dressed somewhat like that for a little while were rivetheads and goth-industrial types in the mid-late 90s and that look got adopted in The Crow and The Matrix and then became a costume design cliche for a moment into the early 00s and then larpingly copied in a more fedora way by fat katana types and that became yet another cliche
But yeah, black guys never really dressed like that. The closest thing was the occasional late 90s Hype Williams-type rap or rnb music video with the black vinyl outfits but that was kind of something else
I can't believe I'm fricking saying this, but the show had it's moments. Overall, it was bad, but honestly, a lot of it wouldn't feel out of place in a mid to late 2000s RE game. Even tiktok dance shit and the accountant going Rambo, I wouldn't even bat an eye if that shit happened in RE6.
It was a completely white person look (with the occasional Mexican, but they were more goth than industrial). I don't think I've ever seen a black industrial type irl

I used to know a guy in high school who had the buzzcut, combat boots, black trench coat, and he'd drive around listening to KMFDM. It was a very specific thing associated with industrial. And I had a Disneyland pass and a lot of goth and industrial kids hung out in a certain area there and all mostly dressed like this. It particularly had its moment with Marilyn Manson. There was even an episode of Home Improvement where the youngest son started dressing this way.
Then The Matrix came out and the aesthetic got more widely adopted in action movies and video games, but also Columbine kind of made it more associated with that, even though it hadn't been about that and was only those two guys. But I remember Marilyn Manson even feeling compelled to comment on it.
Because if you like Blade you're a black nerd. Media gets black nerds wrong. Black nerds aren't like Urkel, they're actually like his "cool" alter ego Stefan. Kanye is a good example.
I dunno, most black nerds I've seen are like Woolie from Super Best Friends Play, usually have dreadlocks, wear knitted caps, are really into anime and fighting games, etc.
nobody irl dresses like that regardless of race
who can say
>not a exit
Because it looks ridiculous on black people. Most blacks know this too. Pretty much every other race can pull off the black leather look too.

As opposed to black people dressing like emo homosexuals from the early '00s like they do right now?
There is no such thing as a cool look any more. People dress in the most ridiculous and ugly way possible because its ironic.
they would get arrested

The street wear clothings is what they like and for some reason, high end gucci stuffs
Because if a dude goes around wearing that much black leather IRL, everyone assumes he's some kind of gay fetishist, not a badass.
but they do?
what black people have you been hanging around with? they don’t all wear gangsta gold bling bling like Hollywood shows
Imagine being black AND dressing like a school shooter. You're just asking for trouble.

That look irl is dorky. Even on white people.
me on the left

I know. I dressed like this back in high school, but I cringe at myself when I look at old photos.
>pictured are israelites, not Whites
A black guy trying to be goth is like a white guy trying to be rastarfarian.

Movie cool doesn't always translate to real-life cool.
kino.
Top 5 scenes featuring a Black ever.
Excessive number of belts?

for a black guy he looks like he's late 40s on the right. How old was he playing Urcle for?
Too white.
