>Use the style >No one cares cause it's not real anime >Fail to make profit >Studio is forced to shut down cause it's more expensive to make animation like this than calarts
my only real issue with this style is how long the faces look half the time; noses should be about the length of the eye but a of of these faces are disproportional, even with the style.
My other issue is how bland the direction in these shows/movies are. It's hard to pinpoint just what it is, but generally a lot of the angles shown just look dull, lighting always looks really weak, and the model sheets never stray from a few set angles.
This is already a downgrade from the DCAU style, but it's because these women almost look attractive and the trannies and gay hags who run the American animation industry can't have that.
DCAU is so overrated, even as a kid I thought it looked lame and simple next to anime besides BTAS.
Timm is a good artist but most of what makes his art look great is his rendering which can't be done on a TV budget
Batman TAS and Batman Beyond aresthe only time the DCAU style looks good and it's entirely the shadows and lightning that carries them. All the Timm styled shows from Superman onwards look flat and soulless.
expensive
Like what, shit?
Shit taste
If I see this style, I will immediately assume your show is unfun and borderline misanthropic. I have taken my meds.
Weren't people complaining about this being a downgrade from the DCAU style?
No
That looks like a boring safe anime influenced look
Looks very corporate to me. They were like "this will make people take our show seriously if it has a dull semi real look with mild shading"
Source on that Zatanna?
pretty sure it's JLD
>tease new bat family(Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson and Helena Wayne)
>immediately reset universe
James Gunn, you son of a b***h!

They want to make women as unappealing as possible remember? To lower the population.

I like this look for Raven more than the 2003 look
A lot of DC shows, Mir studio and Powerhouse shows look like that
when's party two of the crisis on infinite earths coming out anyway?
Doom was a great movie
at risk of sounding like a boomer, DC just doesn't make them like they used to...
Racism
