Looking back it`s actually better than GOT because it didn`t frick up. It ended before overstaying it`s welcome and it used it`s diversity quota in a way it made sense in context and actually worked in favor of the plot.
Production values were high, the girls were hot, males were fit, action was great.
First episodes was filled with sex and breasts and they even hold Eleanor small breast long enough. But it turned boring and repeating power struggle from Tortuga and captain butt pirate back story was dull asf.

I thought the concept of See was interesting, I didn't think it would work well but, it does..for a while. Season 3 (final season) seemed like they had to create an ending way too early and so it was a pretty bad and weird season. Still, I think it's worth a watch just because it's so unique.

Yeah but the first episode of any show is gonna have to do the awkward character introductions and setting building that won't be present for the rest of the show.
Mad Men is a great example. Almost certainly one of the greatest shows of all time but if you only watched the pilot you'd think it was a VERY different show from what it turned out to be. You should always watch a few episodes if you're starting a new show.

Black Sails has a rough start, I quit about 5 episodes in and then bothered to come back to it, 7 and 8 it starts to turn around.
S2-S3 are fantastic, S4 is good. A lot of the sets and filming are technically impressive. Titus Pullo is Blackbeard. It doesn't lend itself to marathoning. Watch a season then take a break for a week or two.

BUT I just never get around to downloading such big files these days. Maybe when I move on to OLED this will make a good showcase series to get into.
