There's sex in movies all the time. Fricking poor things came out and has received praise mostly. Euphoria was massively popular with zoomers and its full of sex and nudity. I could be wrong but i feel like the whole 'gen z doesn't like sex in movies' has been blown way out of proportion.
Damn I wish this concept could be in a modern movie, it would really piss people off. When this movie came out IIRC there was no feminism movement saying women don't deserve rape for wearing whatever. Like 60% of people still believed you could deserve rape for wearing this and it was considered provocative at the time to show this as "maybe...its not okay to rape women who have no bra on...?" it was something most people believed. So the rape was arousing but sickening.
Today the outrage would be absolutely moronicly unhinged. The filmmakers would have to hide for their lives.

Having a character order a coke instead of a coffee can show something about a character, right? Sex is the same way. You can learn a lot about them by seeing how they frick. Are they wild? Are they impulsive? Are they restrained? Did they cry like a b***h? Did they finish on her face and call her mommy? It's all a valid tool for showing what a character is like.

I suspect it's something like this. After Euphoria and HBO's other shows had plenty of sex, they're probably scared about competiting so they're trying to poison the well.

but they can be seperate, u can show that two characters have sex without a sex scene, u can easilyt just show them taking each other clothes off then cut to a shot of them in the morning in bed together, no need for pornos in the middle of my flick. i often watch movies/tv when i eat dinner and it makes me lose my appetite. the average person have access to more porn than movies so theres legit no need to add sex scenes and nudity to movies, they can and should be separated.

It has nothing to do with your preference in movies and whether or not you care for sex scenes, it’s the fact that you cannot square the difference between movie sex for the purpose of storytelling or establishing characters’ relationships and pornography (inb4 you don’t think sex scenes ever successfully add anything of value to the story because that’s not the point). To your brain “naked boobs on screen = porn” across the board which shows me nuance is beyond you. Also I point out the stupidity of your 10 second nudity rule and you got b***hy with me about it because “that’s not what I really meant by that.” You are both autistic and a woman. I’m sorry movies with sexual content ruins your ability to watch movies with your parents.

i dont completely disagree with you that sex scenes can show more about a character, but i'd probably disagree with you on the details of that. if its just "lul he fricks her hard he’s so alpha!!" then yeah frick off cringelord, that shows nothing, ur just a coomer. but if its showing like two characters sexing and it makes senseto show it cuz its like penis in vegana so it can show that the woman could get pregnant later on or maybe show that a character is cheating or whatever, then yeah, but yet again, this can be done WITHOUT THE NEED TO BLAST NUDITY IN MY FACE FOR MULTIPLE SECONDS!!!. >also I point out the stupidity of your 10 second nudity rule and you got b***hy with me about it because “that’s not what I really meant by that.”

The simple fact that this is your attitude about more explicit sex scenes even in context tells me everything I need to know about your mental state my man. There’s no need to get this riled up over, quite frankly, perfectly normal content in films whose target audience is adults anyway. What other perfectly normal conventions of cinema gets you so frustrated for no good reason? Honestly I probably shouldn’t even ask. >its called an exxageration, and u call me autistic, lol.
It has nothing to do with the length of the scene AT ALL. But in two separate posts you told me that it did, only difference being the second time you took out the specifically 10 seconds part. It’s a stupid argument no matter how you frame it.

trigger warning vs subtle scenes that makes the point of showing character A and character B having sex without actually showing it. not the same thing at all, in fact the "subtle scene" im referring to makes sense cause it is NEEDED to show that the act of sex is happening. im not asking for warnings, im asking to watch movies without wiener and balls on my screen u homo

yes, adults that are smart enough to put two and two together when you show two characters beginning to undress and makeout, cut the scene there, everyone knows they had sex, now move on, no need to waste runningtime on shitty sex scenes NO ONE ASKED FOR. >What other perfectly normal conventions of cinema gets you so frustrated for no good reason?

They got a dose sex-negative feminisim and porn at a young age and it's ingrained in them. They think sex is this thing only men enjoy and it's bad for them to get it and enjoy it.
Nobody of any generation wants to see ugly homos having sex. I assume even gay people don't want to watch that shit.
People will want to see sex in movies again when the actors are actually attractive.
Just a theory. . .
They're pointless with the ease of the internet.
The 70s were full of erotic exploitation to make up for the decades of censorship by Hollywood and the BBFC.
The 80s pushed boundaries in mainstream media, mostly in horror, as violence and sex found a devoted and easily marketable audience.
The 90s brought a taste of the taboo to people's homes. Most adolescents have memories of watching a risque made for tv movie or scrambled cable porn.
The 2000s more or less rode the backs of previous transgressors, going for more extreme forms of violence. Sex still managed to sell in a post-9/11 conservative climate.
By the 2010s, we can all agree the internet became common place in the average household and internet porn exploded. With zoomers coming of """"thinking""""" age, they wondered what the point of sex scenes is when they've see their favorite [insert phenotype here] take n number of dicks in their m number of holes.
1. Zoomers are wracked with depression.
2. They get laid less than anyone and this is a major contributor to said depression.
3. Movies are escapism for them.
4. Watching people have sex, especially in a sensual way, ruins their escapism.
This is different than emotionless porn that they seek out just to jerk off and then close all tabs. Sex in movies hits differently when you’re lonely. That’s my crackpot theory.
>they get laid less than anyone
This is a good thing considering how badly millennials & Gen X turned out. Turbovirginity is one thing but going around fricking everything with a hole ruins everything
Many have extreme sexual dysfunction from SSRI usage beginning in their teens. Some never experienced normal sexual feelings before they were numbed to the world
>only cast ugly people that look nothing like the viewers or anything the viewers actually want to see more of >wonder why the viewers don't want to see these people naked and humping like beasts
It's not a mystery.
they just seem kinda pointless
I also find them strangely hard to watch for some reason compared to porn
there's a weird disconnect or something that takes me completely out of the film even if I'm watching alone
The global/diverse internet and how it’s weaponized the insecurities of non-American and non-white males is so boring and pathetic, will you freakish ugly losers ever stop trying so hard?
Not a zoomer but I hate sex scenes as well. Porn exists and you can get off to it. I can't get off to weird softcore for-the-camera bullshit and if I could I'd still rather watch porn. You can tell me a man loves a woman or doesn't really easily in very little time but showing me drawn out touching is boring.
They do. Stop seething about sex/nudity, it's pointless and cringe. Also stop embarrassing yourself by reposting this because you're not fooling anyone.
It's honestly not just Gen Z. I introduced my coworker to Bakemonogatari, and he liked it, he's 32, has a wife and a daughter. He likes the story and genuinely believes removing the "horny bits" would only make it better, when it's fricking crucial point of a lot of the scenes considering it's essentially Araragi's coming of age story, he's a fricking teenager. Teenagers are horny.
This right here. It's not only a moral matter, it's an economical one. America/The West is falling apart and new generations definitely can't buy their own living places, then one thing follows the other.
systematic issues don't exist you fricking trannies. Just you, reading this, personally, follow this 12 step mewing programme and then the birth rate crisis will stop.
>betraying you own brother and possibly making him have a record for life because you're a insane feminist who drank all the woke kool-aid
Good evening, I hate women
>someone who is with a girl who's probably at or above the legal age of consent is actually literally a fricking child, my brother deserves to be locked up and castrated
easily one of the worst things to ever come out of zoomer culture is this prudishness about age, like literally any man who goes for a woman under 25 is a disgusting dangerous pedophile
I’m not gen Z but sex scenes typically bore me. I like romance and I am not bothered by the clear implication that a sex act has occurred between characters, but if you put a 15 minute long sex scene in a movie then I’m going to be fricking bored the entire time.
My “favorite” sex scenes are the ones where it’s either blatantly implied, or where it’s just briefly showing the characters shedding their clothes and then embracing each other.
I don't enjoy sex scenes on a gratuitous level, but I think they're fine when they have some substance and add to the story. Lost Highway has a very good sex scene where Pullman prematurely ejaculates and it does a great job of giving a sense of his shame and embarrassment at his inability to satisfy his wife, I like that scene, but if I'm watching a movie that has some flat romance subplot that has a sex scene as part of it, I usually start zoning out becuase it's just boring towatch. That's more of a problem I have with tacked on romance subplots than sex scenes really, but the sex scene just exacerbates the problem when a movie has something like that.
>heh incels are wrong...
Okay but births are collapsing and no one is having sex >dood just have sex bro just be confident
That's great but even if I personally had sex that wouldn't have any effect on the big picture.
>zoomers don't watch movies in general >zoomers get their rocks off of porn >#metoo made it so filming sex scenes is a potential future legal minefield of false accusations, also it demonized anything that appeals sexually to males >zoomers don't care about celebrities in general (they care about twitch streamers and youtubers instead) >zoomers are simultaneously the most horny and prudish generation
Cause you can imply sex rather than show it. If I wanted to see sex I'd watch porn. I understand if two characters kiss and the movie/show fades to the next scene do I need to sit there and watch what positions and moaning they were doing?
99% of sex scenes are pointless. Previous generations didn't mind them because porn was harder to come by, so a sex scene was a nice excuse to see some breasts. Gen Z have access to infinite porn on their phones, so to them it's just pointless, boring filler.
The sex aren't creative, interesting, unique, or sth they haven't seen before. Just make it BETTER, KINO SEX. Like RUFFALO's naked body is nasty. people only watch cos Emma's a star getting naked.
>anti porn SJWs >gays >"asexuals" >tradlarpers
Take your pick, is it any surprise zoomers moan and groan about sex scenes or seeing breasts in a movie when that gen has so many factions of maladjusted weirdos.
Like all zoomer trends, this is a millennial issue turned up to 11. Losers hate sex scenes in movies because they do not have sex. Franchise-brained consoomers hate sex scenes in movies because it doesn't "advance muh plot." Take your pick. The real issue is probably both at once.
Part of it is that white people have been replaced by Muslims who are more prudish. The other is probably that they can find nudity everywhere so they dont need it in their movies
Gen Z doesn't watch any scenes because they don't watch movies.
LetterBox?
oppenheimer had a sex scene and it will sweep the oscars.
Pretty much the only theatrically released movie in the last 10 years with a sex scene. What are zoomers still complaining about?
theres literally a sex scene in every movie and show these days
There's sex in movies all the time. Fricking poor things came out and has received praise mostly. Euphoria was massively popular with zoomers and its full of sex and nudity. I could be wrong but i feel like the whole 'gen z doesn't like sex in movies' has been blown way out of proportion.
>zoomers vote on the oscars
no sex crazed old Hollywood producers do
Ahh yes, the 70/80-something Oscars voters, paragons of zoomer taste.
Yeah, except the sex scene was unarguably the worst and most unnecessary part of the movie hands down.
t. Gen Z
They haven't had a chance to see the good stuff
Damn I wish this concept could be in a modern movie, it would really piss people off. i dont completely disagree with you that sex scenes can show more about a character, but i'd probably disagree with you on the details of that. if its just "lul he fricks her hard he’s so alpha!!" then yeah frick off cringelord, that shows nothing, ur just a coomer. but if its showing like two characters sexing and it makes senseto show it cuz its like penis in vegana so it can show that the woman could get pregnant later on or maybe show that a character is cheating or whatever, then yeah, but yet again, this can be done WITHOUT THE NEED TO BLAST NUDITY IN MY FACE FOR MULTIPLE SECONDS!!!.
>also I point out the stupidity of your 10 second nudity rule and you got b***hy with me about it because “that’s not what I really meant by that.”
its called an exxageration, and u call me autistic, lol.
>but yet again, this can be done WITHOUT THE NEED TO BLAST NUDITY IN MY FACE FOR MULTIPLE SECONDS!!!.
Based and redpilled Cinemaphileers asking for trigger warnings in the current year
I blame asiaticmoot's policies
trigger warning vs subtle scenes that makes the point of showing character A and character B having sex without actually showing it. not the same thing at all, in fact the "subtle scene" im referring to makes sense cause it is NEEDED to show that the act of sex is happening. im not asking for warnings, im asking to watch movies without wiener and balls on my screen u homo
>but at least show a more sfw scene first of them making out instead of just a snap cut to bed creaking and nudity shit.
This isn't really to entrap you into watching a sex scene at all, it's just that millennial writers are fricking incompetent and have to idea how to get from A to B so they skip the transition entirely
How is that what you got from what I said? If I wasn’t completely sure you were autistic before, I definitely am now.
I would have listened. That's what nobody else did. Lisa needs braces dental plan, what did he mean by this floor pig what the FRICK was his problem what a life
You have to be 18 to post here.
i turn 20 this year
>The simple fact that this is your attitude about more explicit sex scenes even in context tells me everything I need to know about your mental state my man.
yeah dude believe it or not, not everyone has a porn addiction, even if u dont realize u have one, it really does seem like you just might.
>There’s no need to get this riled up over, quite frankly, perfectly normal content in films whose target audience is adults anyway.
yes, adults that are smart enough to put two and two together when you show two characters beginning to undress and makeout, cut the scene there, everyone knows they had sex, now move on, no need to waste runningtime on shitty sex scenes NO ONE ASKED FOR.
>What other perfectly normal conventions of cinema gets you so frustrated for no good reason?
nothing? wtf, everyone else is usually well done or necessary and if its not (like excessive gore) its not as awkward or uncomfortable as sex, dumbass.
>It has nothing to do with the length of the scene AT ALL. But in two separate posts you told me that it did,
I WAS MAKING A POINT
holy shit, have u not ever said something that you werent 100% set on cuz u were making a point? if i psychoanalyzed every damn thing u said i'd prove you wrong like a gazillion times a day, autistic moron.
>sex scenes NO ONE ASKED FOR
i asked for them. many other worthwhile people did too
>look at me im edgy and horny and want sex scenes in everything!!!
ur either a 12 year old boy or a neckbeard with a porn addiction, no inbetween
>you MUST either want a pg movie or a porno, no 3rd option is allowed
guess you're too much of a brainlet to grasp the concept of a happy medium
>objects to being called autistic by going on an autistic rampage
pottery
i have no history of autism (or any mental/ learning disorders at all) on either side of my family, no teacher, doctor, peer, parent or i have ever felt like i should be tested for autism, and i've actively looked up the traits of autism and only like one or two apply to me (like they would for most people). i dont have autism, ur just a fricking idiot who thinks someone defending their points = autistic.
That is the most autistic way anyone has ever tried to explain to someone that they aren’t autistic.
kys
woah, an online test that anyone can take. truly a definitive answer
>NOOOO YOU CAN’T JUST PROVE YOU DON'T HAVE AUTISM!!! I SAID YOU HAVE AUTISM SO YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT B-BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!!
kek frick off losers
>acts like a textbook case of autism
>"i'm not bro, i swear!!! source: me and this shitty free test i took"
kek aight bro
>textbook case of autism
how so? you couldnt properly explain how without making shit up, that's for sure.
It honestly doesn't seem like its due to their inability to make a good transition since it gets the point across perfectly that sex occurred, it's literally the best way to show that without a 20 second porno.
your behavior and lack of self-awareness throughout this thread scream autism
nothing about my replies "scream autism", you are just unused to someone properly defending their points outside of a maximum of like 2 sentences, just say you have shit reading comprehension and move on.
>actually takes an online tism test to prove a Cinemaphileer wrong
>lies on his answers
Sad
it's over anon, no normal, well developed person would be so insecure that they go out of their way to take and PROVE they took an autism test to a bunch of strangers online... someone doesn't have to have autism to be a weird little autistic freak like you
absolutely fuming (and autistic)
They got a dose sex-negative feminisim and porn at a young age and it's ingrained in them. They think sex is this thing only men enjoy and it's bad for them to get it and enjoy it.
Nobody of any generation wants to see ugly homos having sex. I assume even gay people don't want to watch that shit.
People will want to see sex in movies again when the actors are actually attractive.
Just a theory. . .
>people must see sex scenes
youre so disgustingly israeli
Bingo.
>they get laid less than anyone
This is a good thing considering how badly millennials & Gen X turned out. Turbovirginity is one thing but going around fricking everything with a hole ruins everything
Many have extreme sexual dysfunction from SSRI usage beginning in their teens. Some never experienced normal sexual feelings before they were numbed to the world
>only cast ugly people that look nothing like the viewers or anything the viewers actually want to see more of
>wonder why the viewers don't want to see these people naked and humping like beasts
It's not a mystery.
There must be so many examples that you are at a loss for which dozen to mention first.
He shouldn't cite anything to you, c**t.
they just seem kinda pointless
I also find them strangely hard to watch for some reason compared to porn
there's a weird disconnect or something that takes me completely out of the film even if I'm watching alone
Zoomers all have really moronic views on sex due to growing up detached from reality.
>Porn addiction
The girls in my discord told me looking at porn everyday was a sign of a healthy libido
Because Gen Z lives at home with their parents
Simple as
This right here. It's not only a moral matter, it's an economical one. America/The West is falling apart and new generations definitely can't buy their own living places, then one thing follows the other.
If I'm watching people have sex then I want it to be pornographic
Mass excess and exposure to pornography ruined the meaning of sex scenes.
systematic issues don't exist you fricking trannies. Just you, reading this, personally, follow this 12 step mewing programme and then the birth rate crisis will stop.
Zoomers hate sex and dating
>betraying you own brother and possibly making him have a record for life because you're a insane feminist who drank all the woke kool-aid
Good evening, I hate women
That dude is not the butthole and the reddit autism is fricking real.
>someone who is with a girl who's probably at or above the legal age of consent is actually literally a fricking child, my brother deserves to be locked up and castrated
easily one of the worst things to ever come out of zoomer culture is this prudishness about age, like literally any man who goes for a woman under 25 is a disgusting dangerous pedophile
That's more of a problem I have with tacked on romance subplots than sex scenes really, but the sex scene just exacerbates the problem when a movie has something like that.
imagine a movie like Species with no sex scenes
it'd still be shit.
They are frigid.
>heh incels are wrong...
Okay but births are collapsing and no one is having sex
>dood just have sex bro just be confident
That's great but even if I personally had sex that wouldn't have any effect on the big picture.
>zoomers don't watch movies in general
>zoomers get their rocks off of porn
>#metoo made it so filming sex scenes is a potential future legal minefield of false accusations, also it demonized anything that appeals sexually to males
>zoomers don't care about celebrities in general (they care about twitch streamers and youtubers instead)
>zoomers are simultaneously the most horny and prudish generation
Like RUFFALO's naked body is nasty. people only watch cos Emma's a star getting naked.
>anti porn SJWs
>gays
>"asexuals"
>tradlarpers
Take your pick, is it any surprise zoomers moan and groan about sex scenes or seeing breasts in a movie when that gen has so many factions of maladjusted weirdos.
zoomers also constantly cry about fanservice in games and anime too
My generation should all be shot (me included)
Frick that, Z is so lost you could easily start your own reich with them, don’t give up brother, become the Z fuher don’t give into chan oldgays
Zoomers have a lot of anxiety over sex.
They think therapy is effective too, so invest in the therapy industry I guess.
Like all zoomer trends, this is a millennial issue turned up to 11. Losers hate sex scenes in movies because they do not have sex. Franchise-brained consoomers hate sex scenes in movies because it doesn't "advance muh plot." Take your pick. The real issue is probably both at once.
Constant exposure to porn fricks with healthy sexual development.
They've watched porn since they were 10, why wouldn't they feel uncomfortable watching sex scenes with other people around?
Gen Z's are the incel generation even zoomer girls go for millennials because the Z boys are so cúcked
Incels are chimpanzees.
It's simply boring watching two actors pretend to frick.
>poltard half-hourly thread
...yep, checks out.
Sex scenes offer nothing but an effort to appeal to women, who coincidentally have ruined film as a medium.
Part of it is that white people have been replaced by Muslims who are more prudish. The other is probably that they can find nudity everywhere so they dont need it in their movies
