Westerns are fine, but shitalian Westerns are garbage. Sergio Leone was a fricking moron having his actors speaking multiple languages and dubbing them in post.
Once you get a bit older and have watched more westerns you'll realize that lasagna westerns are overrated and golden age American westerns are where it's at
>everyone is an anti-hero >the old west was... LE BAD
Italians are the reason revisionist westerns took over and you could no longer portray the west as an exciting place with courageous pioneers, instead it's like after the apocalypse
Suck my balls, westerns were the original goyslop genre. Most of them were unwatchable dreck and indistinguishable from each other plotwise. Only directors like John Ford who broke free of the tropes managed to make anything worthwhile. I literally just got done watching this with my dad and he hated the ending. He wanted some stupid boomslop finale where Silence saves the town, gets the girl and kills Klaus Kinski while saying a one liner, which would be fricking moronic and go against the tone of the rest of the movie. Eventually contrarianism just leads you to bad taste.
Zoomers think that boomers were gunslinging slave owners in the 1800s.
So, they hate westerns for being representations of colonist slave owners.
Zoomers are quite stupid.
00 zoomer here, i like them. thinking about watching true grit from 2010.
also recommend me some boomers.

>Takes place in the wild West
You're a shitty troll
You got some bait for me?
Looks like we're shy one bait.
>Shakes head
You baited two too many
I'm born in 97 so I'm a zoomer. I like westerns but I prefer older westerns. Spaghetti westerns and Clint Eastwood can suck my dick
Wide open spaces and vistas give zoomers panic attacks.
Unforgiven is a fantastic movie, Timmy.
Why are casuals who don't know shit about westerns so obsessed with Sergio Leone?
He's a good director with top notch movies
Yeah there are better Westerns out there but that doesn't mean SL shouldn't get the respect he's deserves
Seems like 99.9% of western threads are about baby's first western filmmaker
That's true but who cares
More people should watch westerns and if SL gets them interested them that's perfectly alright
He's most people's introduction to the genre because he was the best.
zoomers are passive and don't relate to western heroes
This is true. The only cowboy I relate to is Terrence Hill, because I'd much rather solve my problems with slapfights.

wtf is all this pushback against italian westerns. This did not exist before
Once you get a bit older and have watched more westerns you'll realize that lasagna westerns are overrated and golden age American westerns are where it's at
I like these because my grandpa showed me Shane, True Grit, and My Darling Clementine. It reminds me of being a kid
You’re right; honestly Guinea westerns are only “known” and watched because of Leone’s dollars films and OUATITW
>everyone is an anti-hero
>the old west was... LE BAD
Italians are the reason revisionist westerns took over and you could no longer portray the west as an exciting place with courageous pioneers, instead it's like after the apocalypse
It was cultural rot.

the ending makes the movie
>It's goyslop because I said so
99.9% of movies or anything can be considered goyslop who cares
Because westerns show an America that no longer exists
Red Dead 2
because it's boring trash
t.born in 1997
Why would you have a shot of fonda after he’s been shot dead on the promo poster?
You might as well rename mousetrap “sergeant trotter did it”.
In 60 years, Gen Gamma will look at capeshit like we do to westerns, an overexposed genre for grandpas.
Too masculine for onions boy.
Because hardly any westerns are made anymore. Get them to watch Appaloosa or something and it'd be fine
I dunno, there's a lot of historically popular settings that simply have no appeal to me. Anything to do with boats is another one.
So everyone, its now time to answer the question. Who is the best cowboy and why is it Sartana?
What are some of your favorite westerns? For me its The Red Sun.
I don't just think its the best cowboy movie ever made, but I also think its the best samurai movie ever made too.
>Red Sun
Good shit, for me it's The Outlaw Josey Wales.
