>It's sad but it's just the way it is
This is why I ravel in DC's failures. They are always a result of their inability to change. Wonder Woman is NOBODY's favorite character and a money sink, yet they always push her alongside Batman and Superman.

DC does not how to push her. You cannot force people to like a character in the first place, you have to let good writers who care about the character to write and give them freedom
Captain Marvel #1 completely flopped right out of the gate with an embarrassing debut failing to even make it in the Top 50 as it came in at the number 58 spot. Yes, this issue did ship in the last week of October. However, this issue was also bolstered by an eye-watering ELEVEN variant covers!
Nobody other than a Marvel editor is surprised by Captain Marvel #1 bombing in its debut. Carol Danvers remains far more popular with Marvel editors than she has ever been with the consumer as Captain Marvel does not sell well. Add to that the fact that Alyssa Wong is the writer and Wong has never had any sales success on a mainstream superhero comic book. This title was doomed from the start. Maybe Captain Marvel will enjoy a nice rebound next month and turn into a strong seller. Grab your popcorn and we shall see how this title performs over the next several months.
It does not get any better for Carol as we look at the other Captain Marvel titles that were published in October 2023. Captain Marvel: Dark Tempest #4 fell from the number 139 spot to the number 152 spot. I predicted that this five-issue mini-series was going to finish outside of the Top 150. That seems certain at this point.
Captain Marvel: Assault On Eden #1 had a hideous debut barely even making the Top 200 by coming in at the number 185 spot. This one-shot special issue was designed to promote the upcoming MCU movie The Marvels. This is no surprise. I do not know anyone excited for The Marvels so I am not shocked that a comic book related to The Marvels tanked in the sales rankings.
they expect people to like wonder woman without putting in the effort to sell her world to people. give her a cartoon already! get kids into wonder woman, her side characters, her villains! when people ask "what's wonder woman all about?" you need something that you can show them and say "here, watch this". batman has BTAS, Superman has multiple avenues, wondy needs something of her own.
that said, she is leagues above Carol, who does not even have the potential to be a good character.
>that said, she is leagues above Carol, who does not even have the potential to be a good character.
Carol has the potential to be Marvel's Hal Jordan, I can't say the same for Diana.
>Carol has the potential to be Marvel's Hal Jordan
Is this a joke? She's been given a tenacious push for YEARS in both comics and movies and still no one but like ten people actually care about her. What more could they do with her to make her popular?
>She's been given a tenacious push for YEARS in both comics and movies and still no one but like ten people actually care about her.
She got pushed, but it never went anywhere because the editors didn't care about the character.
Carol who?
Caroltards are always delusional, but this is a new altitude even for you seasoned lunatics
>why does the stand alone character have more issues than the side characters
Hmmm
So you are telling us that Marvel Comics doesn't have any stand alone female character and all that Marvel Comics had are female side characters?
They have Carol and she's the best
Kinda, Wanda and Black Widow are probably most popular female Marvel characters in the modern era.
Yeah. Most of Marvel's most popular heroines are ensemble.
She-Hulk and Spider-Girl dab on what DC has, unironically.
Because Carol is better duh
attracting AGP subhumans?
>not wanting to wear a Carolsuit
Cringe.
Funny joke, anon. Wonder Woman is an icon, people don't give a shit about Carol
No one gives a shit about WW either.
No one gives a shit about you, dumb namegay. Go back.
Suck Batman’s wiener b***h.
You're an attention prostitute and a newbie that doesn't belong here
Yeah but Wonder Woman already won just by being THE default iconic female superhero
If only because DC never advertises any of its other female heroes.
It's sad but it's just the way it is

Harley got a cartoon before WW
Harley Quinn is a Batman character
I do
yeah, more people care like Wonder Woman because she didn't steal her from a boy.
>people don't give a shit about Carol
This, but Wonder Woman.

Carol has the potential to be Marvel's Hal Jordan, I can't say the same for Diana.
why would anyone want Diana to be DC's Hal Jordan?
Because Hal got a good run, arguably the last good run of a DC hero.

How long before Disney puts the Carol experiment to bed and cancels her?
The last 50 issue run didn't sell but was obviously being kept alive because it would look bad to can it when they had movies in the works
Now Carol has proven to be box office poison there is no point
My uncle works for Marvel, they're going to give up on Carol and give the already popular X-Men females the spotlight.
