1 it's just not there yet, give it another year
2 they're uncertain if they can copywrite it and therefore make profits
>copywrite
Hollywood is dead.
Capeshitters are extremely fricking stupid.
>they're uncertain if they can copywrite it and therefore make profits
This is the biggest hurdle.
I guess you need a major studio to embrace it deslite backlash from actors and artists. If a major company with its army of lobbyists can make copyright laws friendly to AI training, then it can get off the ground.
Still dunno if that is good or bad. Probrably bad as they will still write copyright laws in favor of big studios.
it will be Disney that will do it first
>they're uncertain if they can copywrite it and therefore make profits
I don't want Hollywood to make AI movies. I want normal non-gay people to use AI to make movies to kill Hollywood figuratively (and literally if possible).
the sad part about those early ai grids is that ai has already advanced past those into more realism, so we will never actually get movies that look like those.
>the sad part about those early ai grids is that ai has already advanced past those into more realism, so we will never actually get movies that look like those.
Your post is just as moronic as the anon a few weeks ago who thought all future movies were going to look like Pixar cartoons because they're made on computers.
people are already doing it, i've seen a few really good short films already, but as said earlier they can't make any money off of them so incentive is low, also lots of backlash from the art community holds individuals back
>also lots of backlash from the art community holds individuals back
It just means the new ones are making the kind of films worth seeing, because they are willing to risk actual backlash and possible violence. If you are afraid of social pressure you were never an artist to begin with, you were just wanting that hollywood money.
That's exactly what this should to - individuals realizing whatever vision they have WITHOUT having to go through the Hollywood process.
normal people dont have terabytes of vram
then they will use an online generator
online models are subverted
then buy more VRAM, this is a stupid argument
vram is expensive
then get a real job pajeet
will do sir
how do i install moar vram on my 1070
I guess that's the end of it then, seeing as consumer grade electronics never improve in performance.
Current video tools can generate 45 seconds of uncanny floaty crap with no audio you think it's going to be a year to get from that to 2 hour Hollywood level films
Lord jesus imagine being this deluded
This. It's not as though we went from wavery kaleidoscope dog faces to photorealistic images in two years. It's going to be at least a few centuries before AI can make video.
The gap between bad still image to passable still image is tiny next to the chasm of going from the video we can do now to enjoyable feature length films. You don't understand how incomparable those things are. The dimension of movement makes everything massively more complex to get right and introduces a ton of uncanny valley issues. We've never overcome the uncanny valley with CGI and I haven't seen any reason to think we'll do it with AI, much less in a fricking year. Oh yeah and again it hasn't even started doing audio yet, much less music. Yeah I'm sure in a year we'll have John Williams level scoring lmao.
But yeah tell us again how much better it got at making hands
how many movies have cuts that are longer than 45 seconds now?
i was being hopeful that it would be a year, two at max
the biggest hurdle will be lip-synching
Explain how you get AI to produce 150 separate 45-second cuts that all follow an overarching plot and keep characters, visual style, tone, and everything else consistent with no continuity errors. Jesus christ you don't even understand how this technology works and its limitations, you literally just think it's magic.
i think you're not aware of how advanced it already is, what you're talking about has mostly already been dealt with
I'm sure it has buddy
ok pal
well i'm convinced that it could create that sort of consistent shit maybe within the next few years. it's just that it would be shit. because the people using the tech would be lazy and not want to fix every little error or even write a script themselves
inconsistent results.
Video AI is still in its infancy.
Top left bg is from nausicaa.
prove it in a coret of law, nerd.
checkmate, humanists.
computer programmers win.
It shouldn't be too hard. People breaking the last tend to think "Innocent until proven guilty beyond a Reasonable Doubt" means there can't be any doubt or ambiguity to the case at all but it really means the judge just has to find in their professional opinion that it's "not that likely" that you're Innocent and they'll rule against you.
>coret
SAARS
its just a bunch of Kawajiri frames mashed into a vague approximation of Dune?
It looks like someone got an AI to render Dune as 90s anime. A daring synthesis, if I do say so. Tbh, anime is the next logical step for an adaptation, after that snorecore called Dunc.
top left is basically just Char Aznable
yes... and?
>filename
that's Zechs, dumbass.
films have never been geared toward the 1/1000 autist who nitpicks. I dont get why anti-aigays always seem to miss this.
They have yet to figure out consistent ANIMATION part.
two more weeks
He has six fingers on the left hand.
Notice nothing is actually moving here
a fan of bloodlust, I see
You're about 5-10 years too early.
like the book industry the majors / hollywood will always exist, the majority of people will never move outside of it. but what indies will do is take a pretty big market share. like books you will have tens of thousands of filmmakers making a solid living of 1,000 to 5,000 fans, but no one will have heard of them outside of their bubble. the marketplace is way more adaptable than people realize. there will both be an indie ai revolution, and it will be same as always, simultaneously, just like the book industry.
this shit is still brand new, combine that with the fact that only 1.5% of people know how to make appealing art with it.
photography took TWO lifetimes to be seen as a "serious art"
what are you gonna do with a bunch of still images?
>AIcels: i-if we show 24 still images per second, it's b-basically the same as video!
this has to be bait. Do consumerist morons really?
>Why hasn't AI killed Hollywood yet?
Because
>Tech isn't far enough along yet. We're now at the stage where we can generate short animated clips but they're often clunky and uncanny valley tier.
>Is being gatekept by a small number of people. Your average creative will have to sign up for a long waiting list to have a chance of playing with it.
>Fricked by regulations and safety settings to ruin your fun and freedom
>Studios will scramble and sue AI companies in a panic to stop people from just making their own movies (while simuatenously using AI wherever they can to cut labor costs)
AI can only be kino on a superficial level. It has no soul or conscience yet.
I'd watch this over Hollyslop any day of the week. All we have to do is figure out a way to add voices and stretch it out to 1.5 hours and it's fricking over for hollywood.
You're glossing over the part where these are just disparate still images and not actually a movie
Alright. Even something like this looks way, way, way, way better than any modern dogshit cancer that hollywood shits out on a regular basis.
Your example is insanely inconsistent. The character designs are changing dramatically from frame to frame and there's no attempt made at consecutive shots which tell a continuous story
>it's only... still images! they're not a movie.
>shows you a movie.
>but it's not like a hollywood movie!!!
you are too fricking stupid to talk to, you change the goal post every time you are called out.
No, I'm not moving the goalposts you fricking idiot. Read the actual posts.
>posts still images
>says they are still images
>posts incoherent video
>says it is an incoherent video
There were no goalposts moved by me. You are a brainlet that can't follow a simple conversation
yeah they're using outdated AI
look here, pretty consistent
https://openai.com/blog/sora-first-impressions
That's just a matter of improving the AI. My point is that AI is better than Hollywood and that Hollywood deserves to be glassed.
y do they have parkinsons thoughever
>Bowie in 80s Eva
Holy kino only about 10 more years until this will be perfected into an actual quality full length film
It's hilarious how consistently in every one of these threads someone is like
>AI is slop huh? well check THIS OUT
And it's the just same underwhelming soulless garbage as always lmao
>it's impossible for AI to make an animated sequence
>um achtchually I meant it's impossible for AI to make a GOOD animated sequence
See you in a few months 🙂
they will eventually land on "it's soulless" and then you point to modern hollywood, they shift to, "you're a traitor" these are low IQ people, it is when they have nothing left and start using violent rhetoric that the NSA apparatus can get put to work
Hollywood is dying, and no amount of kvetching online can stop it.
maybe blockbusters in the theatre are dying but TV isn't going anywhere, they'll just shift their attention, i'm sure they'll start buying up more video game companies too
>every film somehow looks more kino than the last
Holy shit, we are not ready for the influx of kino
They went woke and lost their audience with hyperboat
this is about where ai images were just 3 years ago. it’s literally over for hollywood.
You can make a movie with just some cool images strung together and not much else. Refn does it.
No, you can't.
you can already do voice ai
IN A WORLD
this is brilliant
Thanks!
The technology is still in its infancy.
Dedicated people can use it as it is to make amazing things for cheap, bypassing hollywood. But it's very time intensive. The people that are able to use it at the moment have to be incredibly skilled. Take corridor crew for example: an entire team of professional cgi artists are able to use it to make anime by applying an ai filter to live-action footage captured in front of a green screen.
Yes, that's a lot cheaper than the traditional route of animation, considering the result. But that's still not cheap or easy enough for an autist to do in their bedroom. So there are only relatively few people doing that sort of thing at the moment, and it takes such a long time that we won't see results until ai has gotten better anyway.
But it is getting there. Within a year, I expect people to be making full length anime episodes from their rooms with studio quality.
I don't even like anime but this looks 1000x better than those ugly ass dunc n mutt movies
God i miss this 80s anime artstyle so fricking much
>user generated content
please no
it's bad enough as it is
what the frick are we even going to shit on if everyone is busy pumping out their own half-baked literally me (for real this time) masturbatory power fantasies
god it's going to be so shit
For all that hype its still in the experimental phase. Also it still requires way too much computational power and tech knowledge to do locally, so you are left wity few options. Tldr, its too early.
it was too early a year ago, all these shorts and stills ITT were from 8 months ago. it is actually beginning now.
>first they ignore you
>then they laugh you
>then they fight you <--you are here in the 'cancel them' phase
Looks kino
Sandworm and Guild navigator need a bit of work
as long as israelitevidia has a monopoly, this will not take off
they just make hardware
ai runs on hardware
>AI will resurrect kino cel shaded, hand painted background styles of animation
This is poetic
>ai
>hand painted
hmmm
>styles
>hmmm
Hand-painted backgrounds were used in cel animation moron
It's going to kill a lot of jobs in the video and film industry
because it only produces dogshit. but as plebs continue their takeover of every artistic industry it's only inevitable.
