This is the only board where people seem surprised or have trouble relating to that image.

I relate to it to an extent, there’s just some stuff that seems silly, who’s too lazy to even brush their teeth

Its a weird feeling when you grew up being a stubborn boy not wanting to do what your parents want.

Kinda grows and settles in the back of your mind to make you sorta stubborn to not wanna brush your teeth.

oh, and then theres various levels of depression.

I think it's because the standards set on it are SO low.
Like I've gotten paper qualifications but not improved personally in any aspect I've really desired to since It turned 20 and I'm now nearly 30, but stuff like a GED and driver's license is just
I'd go actually insane if I couldn't even drive or at least claim a high school education.

I feel some of these, mostly the procrastination and maybe laziness. I don't know about that not having a car shit....

I do draw and get paid to do so also, but I got ideas for own projects that i feel like I never have the actual time to do them.

Between dayjob and comm work, I'm never in the mode to work on any of them.

I turn 37 today so I gotta get goin before I turn around and see 40.

SHUT THE FRICK UP I KNOW IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY BUT I'VE ALREADY DROPPED SO MUCH IT BE A BIGGER WASTE AT THIS POINT

it's only a waste of time/money if you're not actively doing anything and are just coasting through, like most schools
if you're actually serious about art anon then you're better off than like 95% of your peers

    >write a script

    >make some designs, and color keys
    >revise
    >draft a storyboard
    >revise
    >break down everything into shot sheets
    >make background layouts, see how many you can recycle between shots. Either hand it off to a BG artist or do it yourself
    >record radioplay with voice actors
    >edit into animatic
    >revise, schedule your time/drawings per day ratio and see if you can do it on your own or if you'll need help from other animators
    >pick shots shortest to longest
    >start with a keyframe pass
    >revise
    >continue with breakdowns
    >add inbetweens
    >revise
    >move onto next shot, get the roughs done first
    >once all the roughs are done, start vectorized cleanup process, easier to hire people for this
    >should also start putting together an edit in premiere, plug in finalized shots and backgrounds in here
    >give leeway for error cleanup. You will get these no matter what, and they will take a third of your project's schedule to fix even once the animation is done.

      >revise for timing/notes

      >only once you're this close do you announce anything to drum up hype
      >make a poster on social media for search algorithm boosting, this is actually the thing that usually gets imdb bots to add your project to a database so its free marketing
