it's a board full of people watching not only the things they're passionate about, but also their own passion, die in real time. they're being gaslit into thinking it's not happening despite being observable, while being flooded with /misc/ and twitter immigrants who want nothing more than to talk about politishit and drama
>they're being gaslit into thinking it's not happening despite being observable
This, it's insane how everybody is being pressured into acting like american cartoon animation ins't getting cheaper and the writting far worse. Even the ones defending any crap Disney release nowadays still quote Simpsons and Spongebob jokes from 20 years ago rather than the current trash.
There's a lot of people in the animation industry who hate me going back all the way to 2006, as I belittled their work as part of attempting an artistic Revolution to change the world. Why would I look at the work of people who hate me, let alone be positive about it?
As well since they refused to learn to make better animation it's not worth watching anyway
Because everything is shit now, has been since 2016, nearly 10 years ago.
If you see something that I don't, good for you, I'm glad you actually have hope for the future.
Is it really pessimism if reality surrounding you is shit, anon?
If someone stabs you on the street, do you try to look "at the bright side"? "Hey they could have stabbed me more times! I can actually survive it"
If something is good- say it's good. If something is bad, say it's bad. It just happens that most of the projects are bad/look like shit/boring/poisoned with leftist propaganda/etc.
You can critique good stuff, but when you genuinely love and enjoy smth, you don't even want to nitpick.
>actual hobby boards
Will browse in short bursts, stopping to share hobby related information, share something funny or hang out for a bit
This is the way Cinemaphile was intended to be used
Hobby anons will at worst complain about their boards getting off topic threads but will overall be happy
Examples are Cinemaphile and Cinemaphile >Offtopic boards
These will range in quality and depend on forming strong communities, it's hit or miss depending how comfortable you feel there
Examples are /misc/ and /gif/ >Interest boards
The scum of the earth
Interest boards depend entirely on the quality of the media they consume
If good media is being produced by the industry these places are great to hang out in
However because it's not an offtopic board nor is it a hobby board when the industry is making hot garbage people will have nothing else to do but fight with each other
The best thing to do during these times is to migrate to another board until the dry spell runs it's course
Examples of interest boards are Cinemaphile and Cinemaphile
Because that gets more yous over announcing you actually enjoyed something.
Why though?
Misery loves company.
>If you don't enjoy the slop you're miserable
Have you considered learning about our lord and savior Jesus Christ
Religion is the greatest slop there is. Those people have lower standards than adults watching preschool cartoons
>Have you considered learning about our lord and savior Jesus Christ
Cinemaphiles current user base is mostly made up of underaged reddit, iFunny, and twattergays. They come here for attention and to act edgy.
Yeah anytime I see any slurs I just think its some redditor whose getting a release.

Contrarianism brain rot
>exclusively consume crap media
>become bitter
Happiest people here are crossboarders.
I would love nothing more than be positive and hopeful but history has burned me too many times.
our lives suck
I am not a pessimist, Im just a well-informed optimist.
If you were really an optimist, you wouldn't be here.
You call it pessimism I call it realism
