You may not like late Adventure Time as much, but can you honestly say there were any better cartoons going on AT THE SAME TIME as late Adventure Time?
The show that still gets new content and discussion?
Honestly, the fact that RS itself resorted to sloppily done half-baked space lore in its last season is a testament to the power and influence of AT, and its acolytes like SU and GF. RS never left this much of a legacy.
>The show that still gets new content and discussion?
And is this good because....? Getting more content isn't equal to a series being better and if anything the opposite tends to be case and as much as RS declined later on it didn't shit the bed as hard as AT did, better end early your show rather than having your MC be sexually assaulted by a gross fat ugly b***h and for him to still be friends with the b***h c**t that groomed him since age 12.
>RS declined later on it didn't shit the bed as hard as AT did
On the contrary, the RS finale is everything people hate the AT finale for aside from lesbians. >and for him to still be friends with the b***h c**t that groomed him since age 12.
PB isn't a c**t to Finn for the majority of the show.
Wish I could have a quantum computer for a brain like this anon and perceive this cleary in to alternative realities without making baseless assumptions around my personal opinions like a massive wiener sucking homosexual. I mean, can you imagine how embarrassing that would be?
Regular Show was better overall, Adventure Time was a fundamentally different show after the Season 6 premiere, and it's one that definitely wasn't on par with the previous 5
First season's jokes actually remind me of classic cartoons, the show had this very early 2000s/Looney Tunes feel to it. It becomes a generic cartoon afterwards though, so no idea.
This, the comedy and general tone of the series felt kind of classically cartoony while also being new and appealing, I love it. Later seasons aren’t amazing but I still kind of enjoy them
Unironically? MLP has a rich fantasy setting full of different locations, colorful characters, fun adventures, a comfy atmosphere, and a diverse cast of waifus at the center of it all. There isn't any cartoon quite like it. Granted, the show itself doesn't go too in-depth into worldbuilding, but that's what the fandom is for. It's fun to imagine and discuss things about the world and the characters. It's a very appealing setting that quickly sucks you in and opens up a ton of opportunities. I remember 10 years ago reading some brony talk about why he enjoys writing MLP fanfiction so much. I don't have the exact quote, but it was something like this:
>when you write for other franchises, you're more constrained by their genre. if you're writing a Harry Potter fanfic, you likely have to write about wizards and their drama. if you're writing a Star Wars fanfic, you likely have to write space military opera. but if you're writing an MLP fanfic, you can write... pretty much anything. you can write about simple everyday lives of ponies in Ponyville, or the magical adventures of dedicated wizard/adventurer ponies, or large-scale geopolitical games of the princesses and neighboring kingdoms... there are very few limits in this setting.
I'd say AT has a similar appeal but less focus on waifus and more on actual worldbuilding and different imaginative stories it can tell with the world. MLP's true appeal was never really in a specific large story, although it did have a few. It was just about living in the unique world of Equestria, enjoying it, getting absorbed in its color and wonder and magic. I guess in some ways you could compare it to shit like Genshin, but, you know, not soulless.
The same appeal of moe anime
It might be similar in some regards, but SoL moe anime set in the real world does not come close to the appeal of an entire fantasy setting full of waifus.
Adventure time was good for its first 2 seasons and Regular show was good until its last two seasons so regular show was better. Both shows started going to shit the moment the original writers were diluted and replaced by less talented nepotism/diversity hires. Both shows ultimately became shows aimed toward manchildren rather than being a quirky lol random show aimed towards kids (which it did well). I remember in like 6th grade, me and my homie would always do the "OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH" thing from regular show, so maybe I'm biased, but I was the demographic for these shows so I feel like I get both of them pretty well.
It's not the best, it's not even close. There are dozens of better cartoons. Frick off with the stupid bait. You will never be as good as Primal, Castlevania, or even Thundercats 2011
Gravity Falls beat you in the tournament. You lost. Take it like a fricking man. You're out. You're fricked. You tried to kill the hacklet, but you failed. And you're dead. Now, frick off!
I think it’s Hilda, at least from the shows I’ve seen. It’s at least one of the most consistent in quality, more so than Gumball, AT and arguably even Regular Show.
i liked regular show more. both only really were great for about four seasons before imploding. neither ended as well as steven universe did either.
No, but create another thread asking if it is the best of the EARLY 2010's and we can have an actual conversation about it.
You may not like late Adventure Time as much, but can you honestly say there were any better cartoons going on AT THE SAME TIME as late Adventure Time?
Not talking about this here, off-topic for the thread. Create another one and we may talk.
It would be extremely dishonest to say there weren't better cartoons.
Why early specifically? It would be cool to talk about the whole decade. Make the thread yourself btw.
Because he's a bitter finncel.
It's not, it's not even the best cartoon to air specifically on Cartoon Network in the 2010s.
That's be Gumball
>verification not required
How can you say that when Steven Universe is right there?
Regular Show vs Adventure Time was the original tribehomosexualry war
And we all know who came out on top

If AT kept being episodic wacky adventures you still would have hated any season past 4, it just would have become an eternal zombie like Spongebob

>act the same for 10 years
>get mad when people predict it
>AT
>best 2010s cartoon
that award would go to Regular Show.
Regular Show was better overall, Adventure Time was a fundamentally different show after the Season 6 premiere, and it's one that definitely wasn't on par with the previous 5
Horse show>wander over yonder>Regular show=Kick buttowski>AT
whats the appeal of the horse show? its boring
It appeals to basement dwelling neckbeard 40 year olds.
20's to 30's, 40 now I think but only the really old ones. But is pretty close.
First season's jokes actually remind me of classic cartoons, the show had this very early 2000s/Looney Tunes feel to it. It becomes a generic cartoon afterwards though, so no idea.

Moe anime is a little too plain 90% of the time

I found the serring of mlp pretty generic tbh.
What other cartoons have a setting like this?
not setting, serring

Lets take a poll

I'm going to use a VPN to cheat this poll. And I'm voting "No" btw.

Go back to sucking Alina Webster's dick

That's not how you spell Uncle Grandpa
