There's a lot of little things, off the top of my head

Yes. The denialists thought it was Gabriel just being a rich butthole saying he was gonna ruin his life.
If you actually watch the show in order, there were small little hints that you could overlook throughout season one and two, but after the Sentibug episode, they've been making the foreshadowing as unsubtle as possible. The Felix episode being called Felix was the last hint you could call subtle, as all the episode names had been akumatizations and sentimonsters up until season five and Felix was clearly the antagonist so still easy to overlook. Once the Gabriel episode came out and pretty much told us Felix was a sentimonster they pretty much told us the next episode, Mega Leech, that Adrien was a sentimonster too.
It is funny how so much of the drama of theory could've been avoided had the Gabriel episode not been one of last ones out.
