I just finished Farscape yesterday, it blew me away with the acting, and brilliantly crafted personalities, its a space-fantasy disguised as scifi, it was mostly filled with white australians and i adored it. They will never make a kino show like that again sadly.
I normally cringe at tv romances but i was blown away by the chemistry between Aeryn and John. Best TV romance ever, and seeing some of the junket circuit interviews, apparently their respective partners were having ALOT of trouble dealing with how good they were together on set.
cont- oh and the point of that example, is that was a no-name passion project barely funded by a conglomerate of corporations trying to jam their feet into the late 90s-early 2000s sci-fi boom, it wasn't successful, but it was brilliant because it was run by the right talent, with great actors/actresses and they were all allowed their own input and collaboration in their scenes, and the writers played off what they were seeing on screen too, and even changed things up on the fly too.
Almost all entertainment suck ass but there's so much fun shit to do in the real world if you don't live in the middle of fricking nowhere

Easiest way to prove this is by naming a soda/candy/fast food product that you used to love and and checking if you just happened to stop liking it when the recipe was changed.
I myself realized this fact of life during a period of watching Buster Keaton films and emulating PS1 games. I didn't have any nostalgic connection to either of these but they were just so much better than the modern stuff that it made me realize that I had forgotten how to enjoy movies and vidya.

I work in advertising, and companies are getting sick of this shit because profits are being tanked. Oh, and a majority of the time, it's not our teams trying to be completely soulless, I work in a firm, and it's the companies themselves that want to be brands.
