Women tend to be more socially accepted and socialized than men, period, so Autistic women are likely better at masking or coping. On top of not being expected to take initiative in anything, an autistic woman can pretty inobtrusively glide through social acceptance. Most men will either be eerily distant or annoyingly obstructive.
That still sounds like different standards though. I think it's that what's considered antisocial is different for men and women.

Not an autistic male but this seems a bit unfair to say. Autistic women have it equally as rough, especially in the fields of love. Try getting with a semi normie guy, they think your "quirks" are adorable at first, but the longer they are with you, the more they become annoyed and try correcting your habits, then begin to cut you down. Their families also begin to criticize you and think you are strange, causing a rift in the tides and all of a sudden, everyone is against you, driving you away.
It's not really more accepted so much as it is more invisible and under diagnosed.
