Fassbender grew up in Ireland, he only went to Germany during summers and he got his break in London

I'm talking about Rainer Werner Fassbinder the director, not Michael the actor

These are known around the world (and not that much to average audiences either) because they're arthouse directors who got their work shown at various film festivals. Most countries around the world only have directors like that known elsewhere, normie slop for domestic consumption doesn't usually travel. With America it's different because of Hollywood, and all the mainstream garbage gets released around the world because of its cultural domination

Not a fan of fish, but I once ate fried herring fillets in vinegar brine and they were delicious, so either Bratroller ir Brathering for me.

I made a great salmon salad yesterday, that would be great for Christmas. Baked salmon with chili and orange on a bed of spinach, with small chunks orange and candied pecans with a touch of cinnamon.

I'm pretty decent. I make mistakes still, and not just on things that I haven't made before. Lots of things to learn still.

Nothing about this resembles a salmon salad, what the frick did you do?

The frick is this burned hunk of shit?

Nah just ribbing you bro, cooking is an amazing skill to have and that hunk of meat is activating my caveman brain nicely, I bet it tasted delicious. You'll get plenty of nice women to stick around if you show you can cook a decent meal. Even if you just cook for yourself, putting the time in and indulging in the fruits of your labour even all alone is strangely therapeutic and makes any meal taste better.

            >You'll get plenty of nice women to stick around if you show you can cook a decent meal

Don't listen to this anon, I learned to cook so I could get a gf and I ended up with a fat mexican girl who I literally could not break up with because she liked my food so much. She would come to my house at 2AM demanding I make her something to eat and screamed at me from my lawn until I relented.

The only German films I've seen are Nosferatu, Aguirre the Wrath of God, Fitzcarraldo, Cobra Verde and Das Boot
I only liked Das Boot including the miniseries
Aguirre in particular is the most miserable film I've ever seen, its existence is offensive to me

You should watch Downfall/Der Untergang. It's where the Hitler in the Bunker meme came from, but the movie is genuinely fantastic.

It was a 9.5/10 film for me as someone who is an Eastern Front enthusiast
