She did SNL demonstrating her ability to do comedy and she was in the Valentines day movie also an episode of CSI. She did some movies like the giver but these parts were small and not very ambitious. Even her character in Cats was reduced to just a singing cameo. She seemed to want to be cautious in her choice of roles since its likely they would have given her a starring role in something had she wanted it. Its only a matter of time before she starts winning awards for acting roles, if lady gaga and madonna could do it so can she.
