The movie was a nightmare production, apparently. Sean Connery had a huge beef with the director, Stephen Norrington, and neither of them worked in live action again.

It was fricking great, the only issues were that it came directly after a run that was popular and offered a different statu quo to the character and the fact that the stories sucked. But the concept itself of Hulk being turned into a spaceship housing a tiny mind-Banner using Hulk's anger as fuel? It's borderline genius, it makes it even more of a waste.

Because people keep trying to make him complex, he's a simple giant monster who act goofy sometimes, he's simple, he's just like Superman.

Stop trying to make him something he ins't, focus on the people around him instead, showing a new childhood trauma flashback every single run will not fix it, giving him a new personality and form as if he was a Digimon will not solve it, again he's just like Superman that's his appeal.

But true. Might've been different in the past, but testosterone levels as they are now confirm my assertion.

Biggest moron on the board right now. Kids love playing villains or monsters just as much as heroes if not more. The biggest franchises among children and young teens right now are horror-based, and kids are usually specifically fans of the monsters.

Saying that children don't want to play as a scary monster is some beef brained bullshit. The problem with Hulk isn't that he's "scary", it's just that he's boring. Kids have popular monster characters already that have more interesting designs or powers. "Big Green Man who is Strong" is like the most boring character concept ever, and D&D is popular among kids and teens now so they would probably just rather play as an Orc.

I can't figure it out. All the material is right there in Peter David's run:
    >1st movie - origin and OG Childlike Hulk
    >next few movies include some big event that brings out Gray Hulk/Joe Fixit and establishes Banner's multiple personality disorder
    >final film has his persona's merge into Professor to deal with the Guilt Hulk
And there you go, at least 4 film's worth of material, not including crossover/event films with other characters.
Just so long as they ignore the "there's really a million Hulk's" storyline that came after, although you could do something clever with Devil Hulk and Worldbreaker later on.

For a new Hulk story I think they should just rip off Geof Johns Lantern Corps aesthic. They already have red hulk, they just need to do other Hulks to make it convenient for the story but matching each one with a different emotion. You could have sad Hulk, lust Hulk ,happy Hulk, etc.

But imagine Lust Hulk though "I'm horny. You won't like me when I'm horny."
