Because the writer was wearing a trilby hat, which grants him +5 protection against pedantic attacks.

They are a type of dragon but some reddit post from about a decade ago claimed that dragon was exclusively 4 legged and now psueds babble on about it because the easiest way for idiots to feel smart is to make things up then get smug when other people don't "know" their made up facts

Eh, they're all dragons, they're just different genus and species.

no, dragons were defined as having 4 legs when the first Monster Manual got published in 1977
since then, fantasy gaming has become mainstream and popular. when normies want to strip-mine this fandom for profit, they do not always understand or care for its lore

That's not a wyvern. Wyverns are winged theropod dinosaurs. What's the term for a bat-style dragon?

Dragon in certain eastern belief structures can mean an "era" or "energy of the time", like "zeitgeist".

There's a bunch of end-of-era coding through the whole movie. Mostly about gender equality/unity (in the pre-wokeshit era sense).

Also, the spear is called "Dragonslayer". It was made to kill dragons. And if you notice, it ultimately doesn't kill the beast in the movie. The little stone does.

    That stone's name? "Wyvernfricker".
