Why is it not funny? I watched a few episodes and just didn't laugh.

I saw a couple things and it just looks like they put a camera down and said about 100 different things then tried to edit it together to sound like a conversation.
I think you're only supposed to understand it if you're from the same part of Canada as they are
the way they make jokes gets old
shoresy is way better
its not. its the exact same
Frick you, Jonesy. The only thing that's the exact same is the way your mom jerks me off after breakfast every morning.
See, this was funny.
But then they repeated it like 18 times.
It insists upon itself.
I think it has its moments but the season opener for season 4 or 5 where the sister is doing awful White woman slam poetry about her breakup made me never want to watch the show again. Apparently it just turned into a compilation of sketches that season instead of the episodes having a full story. No idea if it's even still around.
Someone once said it's like King of the Hill but Canadian. Seemed like an insult to Canadians to me.
This show is Reddit. Trailer Park Boys (pre-Netflix seasons) and Corner Gas are better Canadian shows.
its too verbose with unnatural dialogue it gets annoying.
Thought it was fricking hilarious for the first few seasons but yeah, the schtick gets old
And I fricking HATE all the "sexy bad ass" scenes with imagine dragons music playing and shit, it gets really bad in the later seasons and each episode will have at least 3 or 4 slow motion scenes with some shitty fricking song while the characters fight or look hot or bad ass, it's really really cringey and I hated watching those parts around people.
Maybe if the cast evolved in some funny way but idk it seems like they try to focus on the drama too much at times instead of just making the character interaction more developed and funny
the track selection is wonderful though. great and varied taste. shoresy included.
You know there was maybe 3 songs I liked which says a lot
I'm hard to please when it comes to music I guess, but I will admit it seemed they had a variety of unique artists on at least.
Most of them were still really cringe for me though, the visuals don't help
not just those slow-mo sequences. throughout the whole show
Suckin' on my breasts like you wanted me
Calling me, all the time like Blondie
Check out my Chrissie behind
It's fine all of the time
Like sex on the beaches
What else is in the teaches of peaches? Huh? What?
Trailer Park Boys for Kevin Smith fans.
I am tired of Canadians and Canadian stereotypes
Watched Shoresy on a whim after getting clips recommended to me on youtube and thought it was great, watched a few bits of Letterkenny but found it underdeveloped compared to Shoresy. But idk I only learned about this series this month.
>It's part of that whole "Canadian" thing.
>Canadian thing?
>Well, they portray themselves as blue-collar but every single syllable is choreographed and the humour is extremely reddit. THAT Canadian thing.
Oh, that Canadian thing where every line of dialogue is so drawn out and stilted that it sounds incredibly unnatural despite the fact that it's supposed to sound clever and off-the-cuff? THAT Canadian thing?
THAT Canadian thing.
Well, I don't likes the sounds a' that one bit.
awful, awful, awful show. when you overhear an in-n-out employee talking to their coworker about how the show is "genius", you will lose your appetite.
Another show ruined by leftist hatred for whites and white culture.
The only team in hockey history to have 3 or more black players at the same time was the South Compton Cobras who played in the Black Hockey Association between 1943 and 1957.
they get Diversity And Inclusion grants from the Canadian government. so they take the money then make those token characters ridiculous, like getting a butt ugly black chick to play the bartender and make her act like a dog in heat.. or that ridiculously homosexual preacher
The show is funded by Bell, a company that has a job portal exclusively for blacks.
This show filters a lot of people apparently
Tried to like it. I find the main crew has no chemistry. Feels like they all met the day they showed up to shoot the first episode. Compare this to something like Seinfeld or Sunny where even without any exposition it feels like everyone has known each other for years.
This whole thread needs to give their balls a tug.
First season or two is fine but it wears out its welcome really fast.
I love it. I could never get in to trailer park boys, though. It's too american. Nobody I've ever met in my life behaves like that.
I watched some of it, but the whole thing felt like Canadian propaganda. There's an episode with a scene where the mc is at a weird Christian dance where most of the girls are under age and most of the guys are gay, and then later a bunch of frat boy types try to fight him outside of a bar and fail miserably. The whole thing was cringe to me because the mc is depicted as some badass secular centrist, while everyone who insults him or opposes him is either evil, cowardly, or incompetent. I can see it appealing to a particular type of person in Canada or the US who can pretend to be the mc, but it didn't really appeal to me.
It's rural Canada as imagined by writers who live in Toronto and hate hicks. It lacks the charm of Trailer Park Boys.
