You don't really need huge capital to make and sell these things.
It costs a lot more than you realize to produce figures like that, especially in small production runs. Do they sell them for profit or at a loss?

The comic is making $120k each volume on kickstarter and indiegogo so they can't really claim it's a failure, that's a lot of monet for an indie comic IP. Some of them are also weebs who hate the idea of non Japanese making animu waifus and marching them out. In short, they seethe out of jealousy for Kamen America's success.
