>Dan Povenmire's young teenage daughter (who Melissa was based off of in MML but now says she is very gay and uses they/them pronouns) is the voice of the lead character >the actor from Disney's show about teen boys in love plays her brother >Dan is saying this is the best show he's ever worked on
>>Dan Povenmire's young teenage daughter (who Melissa was based off of in MML but now says she is very gay and uses they/them pronouns) is the voice of the lead character
Oh gawd...this does not bode well since she'll never receive any adverse treatment.
Frick you, I'll call Meli a woman and use she/her pronouns to talk about her as anyone that believes in using different ones is nothing more than mentally ill.
She looks nothing like Melissa from MML, but I can see where he took some of her traits.
Maybe if she had longer hair and not such a fat face? The woke virus causes people to either become incredibly skinny or obese. Also, it makes people chop off their hair and style it into laughable cuts.
Between schools and modern kids media, you have to either do your damndest or be insanely lucky to not have your kids groomed into the alphabet mafia. Children today are taught that straight is boring and you are rewarding if you deviate from it.
only to non black children, black boys are taught that being strong and powerfull is part of their culture and African heritage ( they never mention genetics of course)
Nah, black people are being taught they are oppressed, no matter their social status or riches
You are weak and need white men to stop being so powerful to have any chance at succeeding in life
That Black genetics are dominated.https://www.foxnews.com/story/whites-genetically-weaker-than-blacks-study-finds
And Black Americans don't larp African heritage(whatever the hell that means), they just go generic Black term.
Nah, black people are being taught they are oppressed, no matter their social status or riches
You are weak and need white men to stop being so powerful to have any chance at succeeding in life
Well there were Rich Black people during Jim Crow did that meant they weren't oppressed?
>Well there were Rich Black people during... >did that meant they weren't oppressed?
Yes. Unless they stole the money, it means that was no oppression if a person of that background can become rich. You don't get to become rich if you're oppressed by something like skin color. Did racism exist? Yes. Were a lot of families oppressed due to a lineage of being slaves? Sure. But if a single black person can become rich through legal means, that means that "black" was not the criteria for being oppressed.
Watching the clips that were released makes me feel that the show is the aborted idea for a side-segment on MML or P&F. Not something that should be standalone. >Gretel's VA is awful and has no range.
Like P&F or MML, the show entirely depends on how good the villains or side characters are.
Without the supporting cast of Doof, Perry, Buford, Baljeet, Melissa, Zack, Cavendish, or Dakota. Both shows were overall meh.
It was the perfect "put in the background" kind of show.
>Simplistic episode premises >song each episode to appease children and listeners >It's simplistic structure allowed your mind to wander around and still be able to catch on when a clever joke was thrown >Used continuity more as a "reward for remembering an episode" rather than for an actual story structure.
People'sopinion may differ on if they liked it or not, but structure-wise it worked
I hate that idea. If I'm putting it on in the background, I'm not watching it. I might as well play ocean sounds or radio static. You cannot be a quality entertainment product of you're just being used to filled dead air.
Because Disney right now it's ina very schyzophrenic phase where execs are being shifted left and right and everyone is trying to be the one exec that greenlighted the next Phineas and Ferb.
Doesn't matter if your show was good like Wander Over Yonder and Amphibia, ok-ish like Milo or shit like Owl House, scheduling and budget can be randomly taken away from the moment an Executive decides your show "doesn't fit the brand" despite the fact that if that was true it wouldn't have been greenlighted in the first place.
Haven't watched The Ghost & Molly Magee yet I'm already seeing that Disney is shuffling its scheduling a single season 1 which makes you question why they even bothered to make it.
It's always a race between the higher-ups to find the golden goose that will solidify their spot at the board, while the actual creators have to cross their fingers their concepts ends up appeasing them long enough to not get canceled midway.
The only ones who luckied out were Amphibia (Who was smart enough to guarantee its 3 seasons and even had to put a bunch of human world townie bullshit to pad enough, cause I imagined otherwise it'd have gotten as fricked as Owle House after True Colors, and Big City Greens cause it managed to find itself a niche)
This show screams Dan failing with Milo and creating the safest thing he could muster to guarantee at least an easy two seasons.
It's less that as a whole and Povenmire specifically, the golden boy of DTVA, losing his touch and running out of ideas. It doesn't help I think that his partner, "Swampy" Marsh, has a much reduced role in the show compared to P&F and MML.
Genndy Tartakovsky is an example of a great creator that can still create good content.
I always see the Hotel Transylvania Franchise and Maruined as his weak work... he lost touch with kids stuff and prefers to focus on mature storytelling even his first R-rated project Fixed seems to be aiming to be the next Sausage Party based on the synopsis
>Show hasn’t even came out yet and Cinemaphile already thinks it’s shit.
At least watch the show first.
The villains at least look good.
If WordGirl and PPG can do it then this show could pull it off well with the PnF magic.
>People think Gretel is the main character
You guys realize the title characters of Povenmire shows aren't the main characters right? Like they're the setting if anything, Candace, Doof and Perry are the main characters of Phineas and Ferb, Phineas and Ferb are if anything just weather or stage hazards the actually MC try to get though to try and accomplish their goals.
>Candace, Doof and Perry are the main characters of Phineas and Ferb
Phineas and Ferb were indisputably the main characters in S1, the 2D movie and some specific episodes, the Candace thing depends heavily on the season or special you're watching.
I agree with the Doof part, not Perry tho
I look up what this series is..
>Dan Povenmire's young teenage daughter (who Melissa was based off of in MML but now says she is very gay and uses they/them pronouns) is the voice of the lead character
>the actor from Disney's show about teen boys in love plays her brother
>Dan is saying this is the best show he's ever worked on
Cartoons aren't in a good place.
>>Dan Povenmire's young teenage daughter (who Melissa was based off of in MML but now says she is very gay and uses they/them pronouns) is the voice of the lead character
Oh gawd...this does not bode well since she'll never receive any adverse treatment.
>she
ahem..you are supposed to call them by they. Do not misgender them.
Frick you, I'll call Meli a woman and use she/her pronouns to talk about her as anyone that believes in using different ones is nothing more than mentally ill.
Maybe if she had longer hair and not such a fat face? The woke virus causes people to either become incredibly skinny or obese. Also, it makes people chop off their hair and style it into laughable cuts.
It's really the fat in her face. Melissa has a slim face. Also, her hair has the same texture but she cut it in such an unflattering way.

GROOM GROOM GROOM GROOM, get a life baby
He's right about the "Straight is boring" thing going on tbh. It's getting concerning.
>but now says she is very gay and uses they/them pronouns
irrelevant
>Dan Povenmire's young teenage daughter is the voice of the lead character
That explains why she sounds so off and out-of-place.
Is Swampy involved with this show?
No.
Watching the clips that were released makes me feel that the show is the aborted idea for a side-segment on MML or P&F. Not something that should be standalone.

If anyone is interested. Here's what Meli, Dan's daughter, looks like.
She looks nothing like Melissa from MML, but I can see where he took some of her traits.
Anon, Melissa was designed like in 2015, obviously her daughter looked different then.
Dan's daughter was prolly like he 6 years old then.
Melissa was based on her?
Yes
Holy crap Lois, it's Ivy from Netflix's Carmen Sandiego!
Honey Boo Boo looking ass.
Ugly.
Why is it that every women have to jump on this whole troony LGBTQ+ trend.
Are they really happy being ugly?
>women
She's a tween and autistic-looking.
Cut her some slack.
I don't think Swampy is involved.
Doesn't he have his own separate production company? Seems like they make Pete the cat and a few other shows.
He is and Swampy has his own solo Disney Junior show on development... apparently it will be 2D as opposed to other Disney Junior show.
Geometric people: the musical, was never "good content" for starters.
I never understood its appeal
It was the perfect "put in the background" kind of show.

Yes it was.
It was the best we could get when the rest was becoming dumb nonstop loreshit with Calarts designs and or dumbed down writing.
>Calarts
Why did they start doing those designs anyway?
laziness
>muh calarts meme
Die zoomer
Shut the frick up.
Kys mongoloid

Is he suppose to be related to Buford?
I lost interest in this show when they revealed that the hamster can talk.
on the contrary
>This thread
Are people still just seething that Owlhouse and Frogshow got cancelled for this show?
Frog Show finished, Owl House was the one that basically got canned, though that's more so cause The Mouse hates it
Don't forget Mollytroons

I'll give it a try but the MC is giving me red flags
>look up show
>it's Word Girl but with all the charm sucked out of it
Well, at least it looks like it'll last longer than Milo Murphy's Law.
enjoy the shit pallets.
>black can no longer be subject to oppression because they're rich now
God, you're so fricking stupid you don't deserve my (you)
I have respect for Hamster and Gretel beacuse it made Owlgays,Froggays and Loregays seethe on Twitter
>we want more teen and adult stuff
>on a channel for kids
Why are animation gays always like this?
Especially zoomers?
Is AS, and anime not good enough for them?
Escapism and immature people.
I don't disagree but Mollytroons will insist they fit in
but why does it have to be so low quality? look at hilda or even molly, both don't look like literal shit.
Molly IS literal shit
Molly is a breath of fresh air that isn't an Alex Hirsch clone or cal arts sewage.
Can you make a version with Kiff, Tater and Hailey included specially since in a few weeks we are gonna get the first look to those three.
Nobody cares about those (except Hailey) and after seeing Primos from what it (may) look like, is complete horseshit.
>main character played by a "non-binary"
this is gonna be full of leftist propaganda isn't it?
>People think Gretel is the main character
