It's alright. The first 3 movies have some mid aughts charm even if they're kind of boring. Resident Evil: Retribution is one of the best movies of all time though.

Retribution was my least favourite, it was just a rehash of stuff that happened in the other films, felt kinda cheap.

It's not. 2 is a mess, but an entertaining mess. It's game fanboys who prop it up because they have this insipid idea the RE movies should be like the games and RE2 resembles the games most closely. It's basically an RE Outbreak-style film.
My ranking is 1 > 3 > 5 > 6 > 4 > 2
Reminder that Angie Ashford probably never existed and the entire movie probably took place inside an Umbrella simulation. The Suburbia simulation has a near identical "truck t-bones a car with a child in the back" scenario and that simulation was created BEFORE the outbreak.
That's why the timelines don't add up. None of those movies happened. It's basically "what if the world outside the Matrix was also the Matrix, but not a meme".
