Why is Luke so lame?

His dad mogs him completely as both Anakin and Darth Vader. People even latched onto Han and Boba Fett over the actual main character. The first EU story starred Han with Luke and Leia showing up for only the first fricking page.

It's because Luke hasn't actually done anything cool on screen since 1983 and anything he did that was cool back then has since been replaced by the theatrics of the prequel era of Star Wars. Luke is a relic that never got a chance to catch up for whatever reason (frick you, Lucas).
And no, the Disney cameos aren't cool.

      >frick you, Lucas
How is it his fault? The prequels could only have him in it as a baby for obvious reasons. And he never got the chance to do his ST where he successfully rebuild the Jedi Order.

I meant that for Lucas actually doing something with Luke and the gang instead of letting all that development go strictly to the EU.
Also I'm sure he had plenty of chances, he's the one that sold in the first place and had wasted his time and money with TCW and Red Tails.

WHOA one page! They appeared throughout the entire 107 issue run, and you are a disingenuous homosexual. After the first six issues, they take an issue off, that's literally how comic books work you insufferable homosexual.

Splinter of the Minds Eye was published March 1978, this comic was published 2 months prior in January. The book took longer than 2 months to write and was the first EU story approved by Lucas. This Han Solo story was HATED by George and caused him to directly control what was officially published. Luke & Leia were featured in so many stories over the 107 issue run, so I'm not sure what the bug up your butt is that Han was featured first, other than the fact that you don't understand comics.

The point is that even Marvel though that Luke/Mark wasn't a leading man, so they focused on Han instead.

            >HURRRR
            >MARVEL AGREES WITH MEEEEEEE!!
After spending 6 issues focused on Luke it's standard comic book practice to focus on other characters (durrrrrr da Joker isn't leading villain because he's not in every Batman comic!!! - YOUR logic). Luke literally led much of the series, and you're cherry picking a single comic out of 107 (and 3 annuals) to try to lie. You are a stupid homosexual. Picking Han for the next story doesn't mean Marvel felt the same way about Luke that you do, you fricking moronic child.

Frick off homosexual. You stupid children NEED to have your shit pushed back in. You make moronic claims, use lies to attempt to bolster your bullshit claims, and you're just straight up moronic. You're right, this argument isn't itself serious, but so many of you zoomer fricks needed to have your ass kicked on the playground, told when you're acting like a moron, and should all have been forced to participate in Debate Club to learn how to actually argue like an adult.

                >After spending 6 issues focused on Luke
Because those were an adaption of ANH where he's the MC.

So? What's your fricking point? After 6 issues, issue 7 focuses on a different character in normal comic fashion. It's Star Wars, not Luke's solo (heh) title like Batman (who changes villains every few issues). If you're not a moronic homosexual and you're able to look at the big picture, Marvel made a comic and wanted to get paid for that comic, doesn't fricking matter what the movie or anyone else was doing. They needed sales, shithead. And literally nobody complained until you broccoli haired homosexuals came along.

I started appreciating the OT trio a lot more after the sequels shat on them. I cried when Luke showed up in Mando. But I think a big reason emotions were that strong was because TLJ robbed us of proper Luke so it felt like a cathartic victory to get back the character as he should've been

Mark Hamill thought the same. Before getting the script, he thought it was going to be the Han Solo movie, and got really surprised when the industry veteran Indiana Jones didn't get picked, and he became the lead instead.

He mogged his father by never falling to the Dark Side and redeeming him.

Also, not to be an EUtroony, but Luke was insanely OP after the movies. He just kept getting stronger with the Force and basically surpassed anyone who had ever come before including his dad. He is by far the most powerful Force user to have ever existed in the galaxy in the old canon. I wish I had a compilation of his EU feats but basically he would insta-win anytime he entered the battlefield.

Luke saved his father from his own sins which is much more impactful than anything in the prequels which were poorly written movies. Zllenials and younger like the prequels more because there were more CGI action scenes and much more expanded universe video games and cartoons to latch onto and view the story telling in the originals to be boring and outdated.

Star Wars is only good with its mythical foundation and Luke saving his father from evil, defeating the empire, resisting the Emperors temptations, and restoring the Jedi is much more impactful.

Dialogue was poor, there were bizarre choices made for world building, and it was filled with eye roll inducing fan service. Lucas lost his edge and was surrounded by yes men too afraid to offer even constructive criticism. If you find a good fan edit then they become passable movies for Star Wars fans, but thats it compared to the originals which were objectively well made action adventure movies.

When people say this they mean the special effects, and more specifically the "remastered' versions they have seen which have about the same level of CGI slop effects and the prequels. The prequels have aged worse due to their overuse of CGI and scenes which are clearly two people in a giant green screen set.

The originals still have a better story, better wriging, and are more soulful do to being filmed on actual sets.

They'd build the miniatures, and use the footage of the actors in blue screen to superimpose them onto said miniatures. That way everything looks real. Some of the lava and eruptions in Mustafar were from footage of an actual erupting volcano.
