I stopped watching DCEU films over it. Not sure I'm even interested in Gunn's project at this point.

You shouldn't be, if you watched The Suicide Squad, The Flash, Blue Beetle, or Peacemaker. Those movies tell you exactly what Gunn's project will look like

My grandma used to go because she said it was air conditioned. She would watch weird shit like Marvel movies and Inception not understanding whats going on but the AC and loud sounds were enough. Old people are weird

It's full of loud Black folk. They talk during the movie. I literally quit going because of them.

    >poorly made by dumb people
    >CGI slop, ugly colors
    >every second in the theater is monetized
    >painful ads before the movie, over and over again
In the 80s and 90s, I used to go to the movies once a week, now it's once every few years

Circa 2007 I would sometimes watch multiple films PER DAY at my local cinema. There was one time I watched four films in one day, so basically I was at the cinema from 10am to 6pm watching one after the other. That is probably unthinkable these days, except for the homies who watched Barbie and Oppenheimer back to back.

the only reason I would ever go to the theater any time soon is for an imax showing of an immersive movie with big budget set pieces, something like top gun
or for a showing of a theatrical release of a movie I already like and didnt get to see in theaters when it released, I would watch fellowship of the ring
I also have to weigh my desire to see those movies against the pricy tickets, the loud children, inconsiderate "youths", morons that dont turn off their phones, and disgusting slobs that make the cookie monster look conservative in his eating style

Movie theaters legitimately suck, and it is mostly due to the downgrade in culture.
No one wants to see a movie in a black culture city, not even blacks.

You know the how demon slayer outsold the entire American comic industry in 2020?
The same thing is happening to all American cultural product, just in the Hollywood movies case there isn’t an obvious replacement to point out how dead it all is.
