>Because Endgame was the end of peak capeshit?
Infinity War was the end of peak capeshit. Thanos stepping out to view the sunset after accomplishing his mission should have been the ending to the MCU.
True, especially since it wouldn't have made a difference thanks to marvel in its uncreative cowardice is relying heavily on alternative universes to solve all plot problems. It's especially true now that they've completely trivialized the infinity stones with a theoretic infinite supply of them across dimensions that they know how to casually neutralize.
The MCU died right here for anyone who watched Loki. This one scene single-handedly trivialized the last 10 years of buildup and Marvel was absolutely moronic to allow it.
because is made every movie hyping up the infinity stones seem like a gigantic waste of everyone's time. it was way too early to trivialize them as endgame had JUST HAPPENED

the MCU spent like a decade and a half hyping these things up, making each of them the macguffins of multiple movies. loki's staff, the tesseract cube thing, they were major parts of the foundational movies, then they were unceremoniously tossed aside in a throw-away scene from a nothing TV show. i've never given much of a shit about marvel, but the pile of infinity stones in the drawer definitely felt like the exact moment the final nail slammed into the coffin and they've been been shoveling dirt on top of it ever since
>Trivialized
The infinity stones carry all kinds of power, within their own universe. The whole thing with the TVA was that it was so powerful it dwarfed every universe put together. They could pick and choose with universes survived and which were erased, including the infinity gems within those universes.

Yes I understand how they work. You don't get why it's a slap in the face to the audience to trivialize them in a throwaway scene like that. Showing that there are even greater powers than something as important as infinity stones should've done with more reverence for their power and respect for that expectation from the audience since they've been hyping them up for the past 10 fricking years. For example, have Loki go to timeline while trying to escape the TVA and find an infinity stone, thinking he has the power necessary to one-up up them, only for a pursuing TSA agents to reveal they have some as well and it would get the same point across, except in a non ass-pull way. (This would still kinda suck tbh but it would be 10x better than the low-efffort dogshit gag scene we got in Loki) Them just being worthless paperweights was an shitty (and lazy) rian johnson-esque attempt to "subvert expectations" and made people feel like years of getting hyped up was a waste of time.

First of all, the Infinity "stones" were never originally called stones. They were introduced in the comics as Infinity GEMS, but some israelite in Hollywood thought "stones" sounded more ancient. The pathetic part is that the comics, in such desperate need of new readers, willingly adapted their own source material to fit to the MCU, rather than the other way around

The better question is who had to die to get that soul stone, only to have it languish in a random drawer
This. Infinity War was kino (minus the shitty dwarf and pointless Wakanda battle), and Endgame was a fricking parody that destroyed everything the franchise had built up to.
AoS starts slow but if you stick with it the payoff is great. All the reveals with Ward and how that shit escalates is really well-done. It kind of peters out in the later seasons but I never dropped it because it actually managed to keep me somewhat invested, which I can't say for most of the D+ trash they've been churning out.
it's somehow amazing that AoS is still the only good MCU tv show even if Disney and /tv wants to pretend it never existed
those shows are ABC Family tier garbage.
all comic book Live Action TV shows have been the absolute pits, outside of a few good episodes involving superman in the various outings they have produced
Hawkeye is decent, I think in part because it’s an isolated adventure that doesn’t connect to the broader universe and doesn’t take itself too seriously. That said, season 2’s antagonist being a snowplow was a weird choice and I really don’t know where they’ll take the story from there
>Cap fungus is required watching to understand this shit
But Skrulls weren't even had guys there. If anything I'd think you'd benefit NOT having seen CM.
It's fricking boring, and you could tell from the first episode it was way over-hyped and it's not going to have any long lasting impact on the MCU. It's just some half-assed "spy thriller" that will not have any implications moving forward.
>you could tell from the first episode it was way over-hyped and it's not going to have any long lasting impact on the MCU
This.
When I first heard about Secret Invasion I thought it was the concept for a culmination of an arc of movies like Infinity War. When I learned it's just a random Disney+ show in the middle of nothing I realized it would be pointless and devoid of stakes.
Even the Youtube channels that fall all over themselves to breakdown every detail of MCU shit are struggling to find shit to talk about this show. >in this scene you can see that he's wearing a green tie, is he possibly a Skrull? We'll have to wait.
>All good reasons itt, but also because the "who is really a skrull" premise is dumb and low stakes.
Especially when we know that 99% of the Marvel characters WILL NOT appear on the show.
now that they closed out the Guardians there genuinely is nothing for me to care about with these movies/tv shows they'll have to do something pretty huge and even then i'll just stream it long after release
there are a dozen reasons >capeshit
After infinity war it's over, that should have been the end of the MCU until they had the X-Men and Fantastic Four ready to roll out. >premise
Nick Fury is a peripheral character in comics for a reason, he's simply not interesting enough to carry a story and neither is SHIELD as a whole, as evidenced by the now multiple failed SHIELD TV shows. >politics
I think this is less important than a lot of people on here do but it certainly doesn't help when the show is coated in the worst political and social takes since Mary Antoinette told them to eat cake. Again it's hardly the show's biggest or defining flaw, but it doesn't help.
Doom would unironically save it, but there's no way they have the balls to do him justice. An absolute gigachad dictator with powers out the ass who manages to be despicable while also remaining charismatic and just cool as frick. They'd neuter him so hard out of fear he'd turn people authoritarian or something.
>Doom finally makes it into the MCU >He gets the Ultron treatment where he's just the but of the joke for the entire run time and is constantly making shitty quips
>Dr. Doom? Really? You bad guys arent even trying to come up with clever names anymore. >Doom takes no shit, bulldozes them easily >"Only an imbecile would think to stand against DOOM"
that's what they are in Captain Marvel, now they are trying to blow up the Earth with nukes to conquer it because they can survive radiation, all that is supposed to happen in Russia, the cast is 50% African Americans for some reason.

In the MCU definitely less is more.
He’s mysterious, competent and short fused.
How can you have a show with him as the mc.
>Nick Fury and the literal whos
Lol Agents of SHIELD but somehow even more boring
Only one character can save the MCU
The buchering of D+ MCU Doom is not something I want to see. The first several attempts were bad enough
I didn't watch a single MCU capeshit since Iron Man but I will watch Doom movie if they make it
True (as a non mcu fan)
Doom would unironically save it, but there's no way they have the balls to do him justice. Making Skrulls a galactic refugee group was a moronic decision
holy fricking cringe, is that actually what they did?

A race of alien conquerors, constantly at war with the Kree. NOT oppressed by them.

What did Marvel mean by this?
Why would anyone want to watch skrulls? It's a gimmick that lets them make anyone they want a skrull so they get out of any bad plotting
It's boring, woke shit.
Who wants to see Super Skrulls if they're not fighting against the Avengers?
They fricked up secret invasion by having the skrulls be a non-threat and victims of interglatic racism with captian marvel.
That's their first introduction to the MCU and they completly boatched it ruining any possiblity of using the skrulls as an actual threat or danger.

Remember, blacks literally believe that any time a black person fails it's because of White oppression.
No, they don't believe that. They use it as blackmail. An excuse, just like they use "racism" as an excuse when they don't get their way, but they know full well what the truth is.

yeah i had to tweak VLC's video filters to watch various things in the past and now just leave them on everything.
Why WOULD anyone watch it?
>Skrulls
Presented as not being villains; don't care.
>Nick Fury's newly created family
Care even less, probably.
Because, just as I said would happen, the TV shows are way too big of a commitment to keep up with month to month, and now that most people missed most of phase 4, there is no interest.
6 episode mini series released on 18 month cycles are too much. if they tried to make an old fashioned 26 episode season i think it would do fine.
It's a bit slow.
They're trying to make me care for the aliens but I just don't.
It's the same reveal every time so far. Wew person is a skrull.
>more Marvel
>it's okay when Assguardians migrate to Earth
>it's not okay when the colored folk Skrull migrate to Earth
I'm watching for Emilia, now they've shot her. It doesn't seem like typical capeshit. Has an "Andor" feel about it.
