Because they’re just throwing random shit out there instead of planning. They should have taken a few years off to plan out the next stage of the series.
You're just jaded by Infinity War/Endgame.
The sequel phase didn't really introduce anything cohesive either. Thor fought Dark Elves, Cap fought Hydra-Shield, Tony fought his Dad's partner's son, Ant-Man basically rehashed Iron Man 1, Guardians of the Galaxy came the closest to leading to something larger.
They've just been broadening the world/cast, making it less of an Avengers Universe.
They don’t need to introduce anything with phase 2, it’s a continuation and the middle part of a story.
Phase 4 must by necessity introduce new things and lay the groundwork because it’s a new story. When watching the Incredible Hulk I knew how it tied into iron man, when watching Thor I knew how it tied into the other two, etc. i have absolutely no clue what Shang Chi has to do with America Chavez or Ms. Marvel and I doubt marvel know either. They’re clearly just wheelspinning until they can get going with their X Men storyline.
I hope they dump every new character in phase 4 and stick to x-men and fantastic 4. Nobody cares about the following characters: Mrs. Marvel, Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi, Eternals, New Black Widow. They need to do Moon Knight justice, maybe She-Hulk could be cool (big, big doubts). Strange can’t carry his own movie and should be kept as a side character, which is too bad but Marvel doesn’t know how to make a good Dr. Strange movie. Maybe if they put Ghost Rider and Moon Knight in the next Strange it would be cool. Hawkeye shouldn’t be replaced, just let him go. Black Panther is going to be a goddamn train wreck. This fricked them, badly.

You gays are moronic. They've had the X-Men for some time now and intentionally are pushing it down the road for later. They're honestly probably not going to be a big part of the current saga. By the time the X-Men get here, they will have built up many of their Avengers story lines again and the focus will be on that group and the F4.
>Because they’re just throwing random shit out there
They are not. They are directly adapting one of the worst performing runs in Marvel Comics history.
The short answer is because wokeshit.
The long answer is too long for a Cinemaphile post.
You took your audience for granted, you let bREE insult them, then instead of apologizing immediately you tries to replace them with "a broader audience", that failed, and now you're fricked.
Most of them have always been kinda bad though. Marvel/Disney/whoever has always been kinda tripping up. Remember how Inhumans was supposed to be a thing?
A steady decline in basic storytelling competency as ideological messaging and progressive hiring practices have become the priority within Disney. Similar shit to what Star Wars and Pixar are going through, and exactly the same shit that killed Marvel comics down to literally the exact same diverse replacement characters and storylines.
we're back to phase 1, but now these things are too fricked up by the CG pipleline to actually be able to tell good movies. For as much Cap 1 and Thor 1 got shit on, they were competent movies.
so we're getting ant man 2 levels of shit, every movie, but without SPECULATION AND HYPE to blind the morons
I am furious. I took my little cousin to see Thor and they made Korg the rock guy gay. He refresnces gay rock sex and iis about to do it before the movie ends. I am sick to my stomach. I had to explain to a CHILD why the rock man said two men can be together
X Men is probably the deepest wealth of classic stories out of any marvel property, they’ll get a lot of mileage out of that. But when X Men are done yeah it’s finished. Once we see the MCU doing days of future past we know for sure they’ve used everything they can.
>Have big, climactic end beating the villain you've been building since the start >Keep going
It's clear they have no plan after killing Thanos, and the whole thing has been in decline since about Avengers 2. A lot of fans, myself included, just checked out after Endgame, because it was a good jumping off point, and nothing promising was on the horizon.
>get back the rights of Fantastic Four and X men >refuses to use them
I guess Kevin Feige doesn't care anymore after Endgame (Infinity War was vastly superior)
You know it’s fricking bad when a hard to swallow pill for me DC has put out better movies than Marvel. Joker, the Batman, the suicide squad were all great. Spider-Man was awesome but even MoM was a huge disappointment. Eternals was dogshit
>No ongoing story arc to slowly tie the films together as with the first 3 phases and their conflict with Thanos >Marvel adopting the streaming model where they need to create a frickload of TV shows and films in a very short period of time
>No one cares about Wanda/Vision >no one cares about Dr. Strange >make Thor a literal moron to push black lady >Disney too scared to use the word "America,' In their movies now >neuter Loki completely to get him out of the fricking way >tried to make black bird and the other guy a thing which falls flat >neuter hawkeye to push bumblebee girl
Honestly what does Disney even have outside of Spider Man which most people are more hyped for Venom to confront Spider Man than any other shit.
Don't they all still have favorable ratings? I saw Spiderman, Doctor Strange, and Thor and they were all the same good not great Marvel films that they normally churn out. How are they shit now?
Black widow: decent but they utterly fricked my boy taskmaster, shouldve made him a merc so deadpool 3 makes sense. a 7/10 movie but i give it a 3/10, 4 points removed simply because of them fricking with Taskmaster
Shang chi: Meh movie but tolerable 6/10 just like 1st captain america which was frickin borefest just like this fu manchu crap
Eternals: havent watched this one yet since i fell asleep in the first 10 minutes. probably as shit as snyder superman because that shit is boring as frick just like this movie.
Spiderman no way home: Okay movie i guess? 7/10 movie, some memorable moments, some enjoyable ones but im pissed that miles is fricking missing due to Raimi's racism. Cant believe im anticipating miles but after spiderverse being a god tier movie i kinda want to see him in live action.
Strange MOM: actually enjoyed this one, great visuals, decent rewatchability, lots of memorable scenes, decent jumpscare flick, 8/10, could be a 10/10 if its not of the moronic plot and illuminati getting wiped by scarlet witch(which makes sense comic wise but cmon now)
Thor love and thunder: I dont go to cinemas. I wait for the bluray so i can pause and replay scenes all i want for full enjoyment and appreciation of the kino
If you try to remember hard enough all phases are shit just a handful of movies and somewhat good and most people who think marvel movies are good are only thinking about Infinity war and end game
If anything this latest phase is trying to be cohesive more than the first 3 phases were. The first 3 phases were really just insular stories about each avenger and the villain they were fighting. Even when they had infinity stones as their McGuffin it didn't fricking matter since in Infinity War Thanos simply Pokemon caught them all in one swoop anyway.
Meanwhile every Marvel phase 4 film is leading into something big directly. Strange and Spidey leading into secret wars, Loki leading into Kang, Eternals and Shang Chi leading into Galactus. Frick the haters.
Gonna have to agree with this anon here, I haven't even watched most of the phase content but the ones I have do feel like it's building towards something. The multiverse is a concept that could potentially provide pretty great content and its only really been explored with Spiderman.
i still really feel the FF and X-Men will be introduced as heroes from separate Multiverses, with a big dimension-destroying event merging their dimensions with MCU.
How can they keep doing the X Men in the modern age?
The question comes down to the two biggest characters Magneto/Professor X. Magneto being a israelite and going through the Holocaust as his defining characteristics makes less and less sense the further in history we are from WW2. We're talking about ancient old men at this point, unless we do something set in the 1980's or whatever. In this way the X-Men are stuck in the past.
Their best bet is to do something to pass the torch along like having some of the older characters be dead, Wolverine be around eternally because he always is, and try a new generation of stories and ideas and mutants.
The problem is historically every time they've tried to do this it has failed time and again.
There have been wars/genocides since WW2.
Neither character will be contemporaneous to WW2. ALTERNATELY, they might just be from a Multiverse that's 50 years behind ours....they have a lot of possibilities when you think about it, with all the Timeline/Multiverse shenanigans.
The moment they try and take way Magneto's israeli history, and make him from anywhere else that's experienced genocide then real life israelites cry out antisemitism.
Make X-Men from a multiverse where it's 1965, X-Men brought to our world, bam problem solved.
They can even get in some quaint 60's references bullshit.
There's no point in having a team anymore when every hero can do everything. Them coming together is because that's what the fans want, not because it's viable.
How long until the "Oh no! The multidimensional frickery is causing the worlds to fall apart! We need to....conveniently reboot the timeline and start the MCU over!" movie? Unironically.
Won't happen. They'll have a Secret Wars merging new characters in, including potential replacements for retired/dead characters.
Best of both worlds. A reboot is past 10 years out, probably further than that.
It was always shit mate
A-TRAIN IN THE MCU BOYS
Dunno
Haven't watched it
It looked bad from the conception
Because they’re just throwing random shit out there instead of planning. They should have taken a few years off to plan out the next stage of the series.

If they actually took two years off after infinity war and then did endgame that could have set them up really well.
>Because they’re just throwing random shit out there
They are not. They are directly adapting one of the worst performing runs in Marvel Comics history.
Secret Wars is one of the worst performing runs in Marvel Comics history?
That's what happens when you put an angry feminist in charge. She's pulling a Kathleen Kennedy and fricking everything up
The short answer is because wokeshit.
The long answer is too long for a Cinemaphile post.

How fricking autistic are you? Be honest.
On a scale of 1 to 10? 5.763224
Phase 4 is so shit because MARVEL thought they were bigger than Chris Evans and RDJ's salaries, and the box office numbers are not showing that
Most of them have always been kinda bad though. Marvel/Disney/whoever has always been kinda tripping up. Remember how Inhumans was supposed to be a thing?
A steady decline in basic storytelling competency as ideological messaging and progressive hiring practices have become the priority within Disney. they are trying to get a new GotG pushing Gay and Commie shit and Trump isn't in charge anymore so that isn't working as expected, that's why
we're back to phase 1, but now these things are too fricked up by the CG pipleline to actually be able to tell good movies. For as much Cap 1 and Thor 1 got shit on, they were competent movies.
so we're getting ant man 2 levels of shit, every movie, but without SPECULATION AND HYPE to blind the morons
Don't compare the Phase 4 with Ant man 2
>racism outside of /b/
What concentration of brain fluoride is needed to enjoy Marvel movies?
I am furious. I took my little cousin to see Thor and they made Korg the rock guy gay. He refresnces gay rock sex and iis about to do it before the movie ends. I am sick to my stomach. I had to explain to a CHILD why the rock man said two men can be together
imagine your dumb frick child not understanding what a fantasy race is. did you start sweating when gimli said his women had beards?
Korg has always been gay
>Why is phase 4 so shit?
Communists.
Because they should have stopped but there is too much value so they can’t stop
Marvel peaked at endgame and they are done there. It’s sad but we gotta move on
Endgame was shit. It was worse than most of the Phase 4 movies actually. Marvel peaked with The Winter Solder.
X Men is probably the deepest wealth of classic stories out of any marvel property, they’ll get a lot of mileage out of that. But when X Men are done yeah it’s finished. Once we see the MCU doing days of future past we know for sure they’ve used everything they can.

> Disney too scared to use the word "America’
It’s literally the name of their new hero
Yeah but remember leftists can't see America without having a seizure over trump
Huh?
>Disney scared to use the word "America"
Isn't there a character literally named America in MoM?
Just imagine how much could Sony ask now that Disney need Spiderman more than ever
Disney has the FF and X-Men in the pipe, they are fine. They'd be rushing to X-Men if they felt any need.
>ANOTHER reboot of a rebooted franchise
>normies: HEY WHERE'S HUGH JACKMAN!
nah they aren't rushing to that shit.
It's legitimately funny that you think you have your finger on the pulse of "normies" at this point.
Disney has never catered to the schizo audience.
Normies have seen Logan anon. Did you forget that the big selling point was that it's Hugh Jackmans last film as Wolverine?
Who's the black lady in Thor they pushed?
Sad truth. I enjoyed morbius more than Thor love and thunder. And morbius was one of the biggest piles of dog poop I have ever paid to watch
Don't they all still have favorable ratings? I saw Spiderman, Doctor Strange, and Thor and they were all the same good not great Marvel films that they normally churn out. How are they shit now?

Are you hanging in this thread simply to moron-post at people? Go find something to do.
i subscribe to nerdrotic and critical drinker too
If you try to remember hard enough all phases are shit just a handful of movies and somewhat good and most people who think marvel movies are good are only thinking about Infinity war and end game
people were enjoying Marvel movies long before Infinity War. What a stupid take.
Since the beginning of the multiverse crap even the comics went to shit so theres no hope for the movies
If anything this latest phase is trying to be cohesive more than the first 3 phases were. The first 3 phases were really just insular stories about each avenger and the villain they were fighting.
