Books are for stupid people. Information can be more rapidly learned through other methods and its a worse way to tell any kind of story. Antiquated form of entertainment for boring people.
most authors take like 60 pages to get to the point because they want to inflate their page count
and in that time you could have watched a really good movie.
frick books
you're a zoomer. i thought the same when i was 15-20. now i read more books than i watch movies. also after i started reading, old movies stopped being boring.
I honestly don't find reading anymore arduous than watching movies its why I always have subtitles on to make it easier to hear things during certain parts where voices might be drowned out by action.
If you find reading hard then you are just genuinely dumb.
checked based quints! where do you typically get your books... libgen?
>My streets? Walkable >My wife? Fricked by another man >My money? Spent on funkos and video games >My movies? Capeshit >My food? Bugs >My books? Digital
I used to read a lot but now I have two small kids and two gay dogs and my wife is always being a c**t so sitting down with a book for like 13 hours undisturbed in a week isn't happening. Help me bros. I just want to finish the culture series and the rest of the pynchon novels I haven't read
Because you can't relate.
Some rich old boomers homosexual write their power fantasies and world views nobody gives a shit about and make it a 400 pages essay while it could have been just one.
You're moronic. It's a well known meme that many authors who are now broadly considered classics/the greats died penniless thinking they were failures only to be immediately canonized. Herman Melville and Franz Kafka being two of note.
Because you lack the necessary atention span, imagination and empathy/projection skill to be able to read a good book
Watching movies is harder for me, having to consume media to a pace already set fricks me up because i like to read at my own speed, normally faster than a movie
reading is an activity, watching is passive consumption. unironically, reading is very enjoyable to do. a good book > a good movie.
>a good book > a good movie.
but my attention span sucks unless I'm really into what I'm reading (rarely)
just read trashy escapist fiction, no one is asking you to read Dostoevsky
get the crime and Punishment audiobook at least though it is kino
Can confirm, it’s a really awesome way to experience it if you refuse to read.

Other way around. Movies are for the brainless. Books for those who think.
Top G has spoken, truly a modern day philosopher of the highest caliber. Personally he is my idol.
>be like me, a sex trafficking scammer who ends up in jail in a 3rd world shithole
Hm.. nah
Reading is passive consumption to you moronic Cinemaphileedditor
if consumption is on a spectrum, reading is definitely more "active" than watching moving images with sound.
>reading is an activity, watching is passive consumption
I bet you don't get or understand all the jokes in Family Guy and The Big Bang Theory.
It isn't though. Watching tv or film requires much more time abd is extremely boring in comparison.

frick books
You don't read enough books
you have no mind's eyes, imagination, inner monologue etc.
You have to possess an imagination
you sit back and the pictures move with sound and music. when reading a book, you have to do that yourself
Because you're moronic
Because your eyes are the ones doing the acting while the words just sit there.

I started reading more and unironically had to get the chud glasses, frick reading
get glasses with a thicker frame. shot caller style.
>unironically had to get the chud glasses
why?

its not for me. books are much better.
its about finding books you want to read.
i pirate them and put them on my kindle.

His wife is also street walkable
Books are way better than movies could ever hope to be

Did not read, make a movie first
Because you lack the necessary atention span, imagination and empathy/projection skill to be able to read a good book
Watching movies is harder for me, having to consume media to a pace already set fricks me up because i like to read at my own speed, normally faster than a movie
Because fictional books are for children and nerds.
It takes more than ten hours to read a book opposed to watching a two hour movie.
Because reading takes actual effort. Watching TV is basically the same as sedating yourself.
Cinemaphile is making fun of us again Cinemaphilebros.... It's over.
I like movies and books, as long as they're kino
The book might suck and you can't see so easily without reading it
