Why is she even in Arkham? She is clearly in complete control of her thoughts and actions
She deserves the electric chair and nothing less
Why is she even in Arkham? She is clearly in complete control of her thoughts and actions
She deserves the electric chair and nothing less
>She is clearly in complete control of her thoughts and actions
She talks to plants and claims she can hear them back. Lunatic.
Empath=/= lunatic
This was true when she wasn’t a supernatural person who could actually control and talk to plants. Now she can, so she clearly isn’t mentally ill but rather just an extremist.
Why do people assume things about people based on nothing and act like that anything but insane?
Maybe at first, but ever since the plant transformation she can't even be said to have human physiology or mind anymore.
the fact Harley quinn gets all the simping over Poison Ivy's gorgeous design here shows that most of the world has extreme shit taste.
BTAS Harley is probably the most endearing character on the show. She's funny, her voice and mannerisms are cute, and she's a sympathetic and tragic character. How anyone can stand modern Harley is beyond me, though.
>How anyone can stand modern Harley is beyond me
Only trannies watch the harley show
>she's a sympathetic and tragic character
stopped reading there
>I stopped reading at the end of the sentence
yeah, people tend to do that
>Having sympathy for the shittiest Bat character
She's not Duke or fan-favorite Harper Row or
Tim
I'm NTA bud, I do feel sympathy for Harley though specifically because she's an attractive woman
(The half-israeli thing certainly puts her on thin ice though)
Harley gained fans from older version. Joker and her relationship were glorified.. Newer version is dc changing her pandering to new fans.
A bunch of Arkham inmates from Batman's gallery would realistically have either been sent to a higher level prison, experimented on (Clayface, Ivy), or executed (Joker, muh insanity only goes so far)
Insanity is entirely a legal concept anyway. Mental Illness is real but they don't have distinctions in the medical community such as "unable to control their thoughts or actions" or "not in control of their facilities" because perfectly "sane" people can have episodes like that in the right circumstances.
Realistically they all would've been shot dead by police. The modern US police force is simply to militarized for Batman's villains to realistically survive in anymore. FBI and State Officials would be involved the moment any one of them escaped and since these guys never seem leave Gotham they'd be found within days to a week at most.
Just because Batman has an arbitrary no kill rule doesn't mean the cops do.
While you're right, unfortunately the times they do actually shoot the bastards instead of standing around paralyzed never sticks because comics. Otherwise Joker would actually be dead instead of collecting more bullet holes than Zzazz has scars.
Fricking this. Although I don't think militarization is even required. Gotham has a canon corrupt as frick P. D. and while Joker is protected by some paid higher ups it's not unreasonable to think there are a good bunch of cops with personal vendettas against him. Innocent people get shot by cops for much less than what the Joker usually does. In any realistic scenario he would've been shot by a cop as an "accident" long ago.
Because only Arkham has the means to contain her (in theory).
>She is clearly in complete control of her thoughts and actions
If someone says that they want to eradicate most of mankind in favor of plantlife(which she uses as slaves and genetic abomination), then I wouldn't count such a person as "complete control of her thoughts"
In that case every single other character also would be classified as "control of their thoughts and actions" including people like Joker.
His plans always were coherent and he executed them perfectly. He never has any episodes or does things that contradict his previous thoughts/actions
I feel Arkham is more of a money thing. That if you do X amount of crimes including murder but have no money your ass gets put in Arkham.
I miss her being villian.
It's getting increasingly difficult to paint eco-terrorism as anything but correct in this day and age. The worst you can say is she goes too far, but then people say that a protest blocking traffic goes too far, so it's a pretty diluted, pointless criticism.
That's the thing. The only thing that really changed about Poison Ivy is that they flat out say she's bisexual instead of just implying it. The issue is on our end, we've made a world where eco-terrorism can't really be seen as outright wrong at least to a point.
there is a difference between protesting and sabotaging a few factories to outright killing people, especially when most of them are just people doing a job to provide for their family AND the factories being actively used to make the lives of everyone on this planet easier.
Yes, we do more than necessery to this planet, but that's just the top CEOs and politicians that decide these things, not the common folk that Ivys plans would actually hurt.
Counterpoint, the negligence of the average person allows CEOs and politicians to get away with shit, so disturbing the average person into taking notice is good and effective praxis.
You're assuming that hurting people will cause them to blame said CEOs and not you.
>she's bisexual
Not canon
Because Arkham is equiped to keep superpowered villains and normal prisons aren't so they just send supers to Arkham regardless if they are actually insane or not.
You'd think Blackgate would actually be upgraded, or Bruce and the state could have put money into making a specialized prison like The Raft. But that would get in the way of these guys getting out all the time.
That's true for almost all Batman villains. They're "crazy", "mad" in the sense that they have no regard for human life or even enjoy hurting others, but they're generally perfectly aware of what they're doing and the consequences of their actions, and actually can control themselves and will do so if that's advantageous to them. It's not compulsive. Or, say, like a person who kills his father because he believes he's an impostor planted by aliens, a guy like this definitely needs help and no punishment. But almost all Batman villains should be executed.
>wants to save the planet
>wants to plant trees
>only goes after rich buttholes
I fail to see the problem.
forgets the whole murdering and assaulting people bit.
no he didn't.
Epic for the win!
No, I didn't.
Ivy isn't an ecoterrorist, she's a rapist/murderer who uses vague environmentalism excuses to justify herself. Even if we do extend the definition to cover her she is a shitty ecoterrorist. There is no plan, no goal to her actions other than occasionally killing a couple of rich people. She doesn't actually take any actions that would meaningfully improve the environment. She's the edgy posterchild for people whose environmental activism only extends as far as a thought terminating cliche posted on social media and is about as useful to the environment. Poison Ivy has the ability to save the world, to transform it into something greater, but does not because she simply doesn't want to put in the effort to save the world; she wants to hang out in Gotham, mindwhammy some rich guy into draining his bank account for her, then kill him because he invested in a company that cuts down the rainforest and say she's helping. That's why she's a supervillain.
Harley and Ivy may have sucked but she's ready to and apparently capable of wiping out human life at that point. She's come a long way from femme fatale maneater.
now they're truly detestable
I was speaking power levels but yes, I agree.
The real question is why the hell isn't she second in command of the leauge of Assassins or at least best buddies with Ras? They have the exact same goals be as far as i know have never even met, he must be aware of her.
I meant besides the richies.
