The hero getting a happy ending with the woman he loves. What about it?
How about actually explaining yourself instead of being a shitposting piece of shit wasting thread space?
I'll go ahead and rip the band aid off since the games have already started
>Spider Man who is supposed to have the physique of a lightweight bodybuilder looks like a twink with hips wider than his wife >MJ who is supposed to be a supermodel dresses like a man, has a massive jawline, and no curves
And since you people run the same script every time, I'll go ahead and outline your responses.
>Stop noticing things >Its always been this way >It's not happening >If its happening, its a good thing >Since its a good thing, there is no need to ban it >OMG why do you care so much?
I feel like that's an incredibly loose use of subversion and devalues it bringing it closer to being another shitty meme buzzword to vomit out at anything you don't like.
Something something "this thing was always progressive" while ignoring 60s-90s progressives would be consider far right chuds on today's political climate
Critical media and writing, especially in geek or nerd culture like comic books and movies, are vital because they challenge established norms and encourage deeper thinking. When content is created solely for consumption and profit, it can perpetuate a culture of consumerism, where individual subjectivity takes a backseat to an identity based solely on the how much of the product one consumes, forwarding only corporate interests. Deconstruction helps break down these preconceptions, allowing individuals to form their own perspectives and engage with media more critically. It's about fostering a culture where people think beyond what's presented to them over and over again and actively participate in shaping their own interpretations and understanding of the product and the world around them.
When you’re constantly breaking down and never actually add anything NEW than all you’re doing is creating consumer culture on the basis of self flagellation at worst and isolating and running your core customer base off at best. There isn’t anything in the story that honestly looks at Peter as a character, Spider-Man as a brand or even superhero’s as a genre, it’s just the tale of a bitter shrew jealous of her boyfriend because if the danger he puts himself in while belittling and emasculating him at every given opportunity to tighten your grip over his lack of ego and pride, it’s just a poorly written story made by people who hate the brand and user base but have nothing of value to say
There was an incident last year where someone made a bot that posted over 10k times on /misc/ which ended up being something like 30% of all traffic on that board in the time it was active. The bot problem only seems to be getting worse everywhere.
>wonder what is subversive about OPs picture >its the fact MJ is ugly
Okay sure. I was just kind of hoping it'd be something that wasn't b***hed about constantly since the game came out.
Because it's actually the total opposite. Most other media is in a constant state of change and subversion. Like basically all music genres are just a subversion of a previous genre until it's changed enough that it's labeled its own thing. Geek media meanwhile is built on constant unwavering cliches because autismos hate change. Once it finally broke into the mainstream normalgays just treated it like anything else. Autismos have no idea what this is so assume it's something specfic to them.

The problem is is these companies are dead and have nothing more to offer BEYOND subversion, you need to have a healthy culture in order for subversion to mean anything, because subversion for its sake alone really means nothing. And comic subversion happened between the 80s to the 2000s, they’ve been mined by people who actually had some reverence or at least former respect for the sources, now it’s all just run by banal yes men convinced that the corporate opinions they believe are not only their own personality, but a solid artistic base to come from
because the space isn't made up of writers, it first got taken over by fanboys who like to "um aktually" the logic in comics, and then people who hate geek stuff who wanted to do even more of that but in a different way
Because we're know it alls who like to gatekeep and um actually with our geek knowledge.
Have we ever tried not doing either?
What subversion?
If you cant tell just looking at the image, you're already too far gone. Or you're just another disingenuous homosexual trying to defend the Narrative

The hero getting a happy ending with the woman he loves. What about it?
yeah, heroes should never get happy endings
She’s emotionally abusive and manipulative this is a terrible written relationship that shows you exactly what women think of you
How about actually explaining yourself instead of being a shitposting piece of shit wasting thread space?
How about you quit being a baiting troony homosexual? Take this disingenuous bullshit to Reddit so you can get updoots just for being obtuse.
>Asks OP to elaborate
>Can't, and instead defaults to shitposting and a string of buzzwords
homosexual. Sage this stupid thread

That's the thing about progress; it's to keep moving forward.
You don't get more conservative as you get older, the next generation just comes out more liberal.
Women make 80% of all purchases.
Today's geek culture is the seed corn of tomorrow's mainstream.
women hate the vast majority of men and want them to suffer.
Samething with the Mario movie, People are such boiled frog they can't tell when a female character is being a b***h.
They're used to the abuse.
Peach sung Mario's praises after he beat DK. She was gushing about how cool she thinks he is.
Nintendo had to threaten someone with a katana for that.

I didn't know there were AI reply bots on Cinemaphile.
Why do you think the IP counter got removed?
because it was very easy to deceive that system with multiple cell phones.

Marxists are like wienerroaches.
I keep finding them dead in my bath tub.
geeks always need to be the "smartest person in the room"

No one likes ugly b***hes.

Really clarifies why they get their hackles up so much about normalgays nudging in on their spaces.

My fault, guys. I picked up a monkey's paw and wished women would like my stuff.
Leftist communist pedophiles, unironically.
I literally don’t know a single woman who would be caught dead wearing that
because the space isn't made up of writers, it first got taken over by fanboys who like to "um aktually" the logic in comics, and then people who hate geek stuff who wanted to do even more of that but in a different way
I'm glad I'm not so far gone that an innocuous screenshot like this doesn't make me shit myself in rage
