It’s not an argument, it’s a statement, and largely beside the point. At best it’s a disingenuous attempt at deflection.
What’s the endgame of such an argument?
What problems does it solve?
To maybe give them some perspective? To maybe show them that if they thought the original was good it really wasn't?
Then you'd point out the flaws, not a blanket "UGH IT WAS ALWAYS SHIT!". which is what happened with this show funny enough, I know every issuwe about it without even watching it thanks to you nerds
It's a way of simplifying it down so you don't have to go on a long tirade about its flaws.
But that's exactly what hate circlejerkers want
Too bad MOTU Revelations failed on that front
He-Man was never good, but that doesn't mean the new one also had to be bad in a different way.
Because if it's coming from the creator of the new material it shows clear disrespect for the source material, meaning this person shouldn't be in charge of making content for the franchise.
People are more forgiving to old stuff than to new stuff. That's the cycle. You can see from the time of Greek play already people dissing whatever is on fad or new.
Your show still sucks shit, Kevin.
I'm surprised Netflix hasn't killed this yet.
Frick off Kevin. You better go put your 10 masks on again before you start crying some more.
>Argument so often dismissed when it's just an honest to god truth the vast majority of the time?
Picture unrelated.
Because it is ultimately used by people who really pissy at fans for not liking the bad reboot series.
Because it comes across as a really b***hy and stupid thing to say especially when it is from the creators of a new entry in a franchise. If it was never good (Which in the case of He-Man I agree that the 80's series doesn't hold up but the 2000's series was pretty damned good) then why not do another full reboot instead of weighing your thing down with nostalgia bait references and designs?
I didn't like Revelation, but then I have massive hang-ups when it comes to women and not being able to get laid so I'm probably biased.
>both old and new versions of the ip aren't specifically for gays but feel like they are
Why is this? Just big buff characters?
He-man is a morality play with cool aesthetics. It also made like $50 billion in 8 years. If it was so bad, why couldn’t Kevin Smith do better?
