Why is there no comic equivalent for this for Joker

Why is there no comic equivalent for this for Joker

There’s literally some official DC comic about a moron who pretends he’s Batman IRL but nobody thought a realistic sympathetic joker was a good idea ever?

It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14

CRIME Shirt $21.68

Joker has murdered children, sexually assaulted women, abused people, caused World War joker and you want them to make him sympathetic because of one edgy comic and a stupid shallow movie that thinks it's deeper than it is.

So make a joker who… didn’t do that?

They already had this in Batman White Knight. Where joker literally didn’t kill anyone as far as I know

But nobody in dc comics ever thought of this idea of a gritty realistic joker solo elseworld?

Let's be honest, DC would 100% redeem Joker if that move was a sure moneymaker. The question is what kind of moronic bullshit they would pull to excuse him from his past crimes.

It's just an almost 1:1 rip-off of The King of Comedy.

I like Joker. It's also a 1:1 rip-off of The King of Comedy.

        And that's why it's great

        >It’s a ripoff of king of comedy and taxi driver
        Wrong
Sucks this movie doesn't get the respect it deserves. Perfect example of incelcore without having it's head up it's ass or piggybacking on an established brand.

If you want an equivalent, there's Telltale's Joker. He starts out as sympathetic but depending on your choices he can change into the usual clown maniac.

There's also White Knight, where he goes sane and uses politics to shit on Bats.

Because nobody besides studios executives would want this to be made?

Why would that be the case

Taking already popular and successful movies which you already have a knockoff script for and slapping some references from a popular IP on top to make easy money is very appealing

      >Because nobody besides studios executives would want this to be made?

You say this when Warner Bros was so against this movie being made they refused to fricking fund it even though it’s budget was only 55 million. Kept reducing the budget to try and discourage Phillips from doing it.

Instead they split the production budget with two other studios.

As a result. When it was a huge success. Warner Bros didn’t actually get massive profits. Because they only had around a thirds worth invested

So no. You’re moronic. Studio executives specifically did not want Joker to be made. And lost over half a billion in profit as a result

On top of that they agreed to not even pay Phillips a salary in exchange for giving him 10% of the gross which screwed them even further.

They already made The Killing Joke and Going Sane.

because that's not joker, that's a generic psycho story that would have failed if it didn't attach itself to a well known ip at the last minute

      >at the last minute

Please explain the logic here. Because the first script is far more joker and Batman lore heavy than the actual movie was.

Oh wait, don’t bother. You don’t know what you’re talking about

You act like they weren't sitting on this script for years anon
