He's only boring if you don't understand Superman at all, and in that case, you shouldn't be writing Superman stuff.
His superpower is his morality, he's a deity among mortals, the fact he hasn't become a tyrant is a super human feat. He's suppose to embody notions of liberty, justice, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, all things modern writers scorn, hence why so many comics and movies focus on social outcasts and brazen power trips and vengeful attitudes, instead of heroic traits like restraining your, often rightfully placed, anger, being civilized and being able to have magnanimity where you conquer. Writers and producers think people don't want emotionally mature super heroes with mercy, they think people want brooding, seething, violent power fantasies where bad guys are humiliated and destroyed. They took the Flash who was a fantastic and compassionate hero, and made him a strange loner, because again, they just can't comprehend heroes with good morals and values.
That more so proves my point, when they do it, they succeed, when they don't, it fails. Too many writers that don't include these elements end up making something people don't flock to.
WB haven't give Superman a fair shot at a traditional Superman since Richard Donner left or maybe you could argue Superman 3. Every movie since has had a stupid gimmick.
Maybe having everyday citizens reacting with either terror or fawning over him like a Christ figure was the wrong tone?
Maybe having him wander alone as a young man, until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him, was stupid?
They made Captain America a cool and well-liked hero for the current generation, and he's unironically and unapologetically good-natured, what's WB's/DC's excuse?
I don't think so personally. He's one of the few heroes I actually keep up with still. I don't really like what happened with his son but superman himself has been enjoyable. (I miss super sons)
People have this image that he's some sort of god messiah allegory and of course when you write him like that he's pretty boring, but he was a fun character in the old superman movies
Clark is a fun guy with a nice dynamic with Lois and his struggle to try and save everyone is good
>I don't know how to write him, hate white men, hate inspirational messaging and hate idealism since it punks on my materialistic low-mind >This clearly means Superman am bad
Or maybe you're just stupid?
Man of Steel wasn't trying to build into anything.
In fact they had to tack on a bunch of stuff in later movies to attempt to connect a DCEU to the events of Man of Steel.
Even The Flush adds a scene to explain "where was Flush during the End of the World".
It's just a terribly off-tone Superman movie with crappy dialogue and writing and a Director who mistakes style for substance.
It means audiences are tired of being teased with an impossibly optimistic ideal, like a thirsty African child hates the one dangling a water bottle in front of him. An incorruptible paragon who always perfectly uses his limitless abilities for pure good is more unrealistic than any superpower. The simpler times where people could ignore the cracks in the world around them to enjoy this are over.
As a note, Captain America and Spiderman get a pass on this because they don't have that much power.
Thor is too fantasy based to really care, we know he is busy saving the universe to help african children
Meanwhile Superman? He fricking GAVE UP because he was afraid of angering the dictators.
>boohoohoo i am too le powerful, sympathize with me
golly gee, i wonder why people aren't interested in this shtick when it seems like everyone's lives are always spinning out of control
So Superman has a strict no-kill rule yet he constantly threatens to murder people to get what he wants.
What would he do if someone called him out on his bluff?
Okay. Let's ignore logic for a second and tackle another question.
Why do you keep responding to these threads? Because every time you do they get bumped to the top of the page. You're promoting these threads with your rage. People enjoy making you seethe.
If no one responded to these threads they'd just sink. Even if the OP bumped them himself for a while he'd get tired of it because there's no response.
Its weird that DC had the entire 1986 crisis to reboot Superman to make him more interesting for marvel readers but then just made him boring and replaced his attitude with "Le epic wholesome guy" persona
This is a roundabout way to say they need to make him black and gay
also have a nice day OP
We already have alternate black Supermen besides Clark. And Clark had a queer son.
Superman isn’t hiring. He’s based.
>make him black and gay
Why would that be a bad thing?
Why not?
In most hands, Superman can come off as really boring unfortunately.
Zack Snyder is the only one with the vision to make Superman interesting
Lets not go that far.
superman has always been boring. He is just The Moshiach as a superhero.
Just make him a hot anime boy. The zoomies will love him.
Case in point
>just make him gay
Have you looked at zoomers lately? They're all gay as frick.
Obsessed
Masculinity isn't cool anymore, the israelites spent 100 years to brainwash people into thinking that
What are you going to do about it?
Rape your tight ass
Pft. You deserve to lose, then. Loser.

Spider-man is a sucefull and moral character, the same for Captain america. You are just making excuses
That more so proves my point, when they do it, they succeed, when they don't, it fails. Too many writers that don't include these elements end up making something people don't flock to.
This
WB haven't give Superman a fair shot at a traditional Superman since Richard Donner left or maybe you could argue Superman 3. Every movie since has had a stupid gimmick.
Maybe having everyday citizens reacting with either terror or fawning over him like a Christ figure was the wrong tone?
Maybe having him wander alone as a young man, until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him, was stupid?
Or was it brilliant?
They made Captain America a cool and well-liked hero for the current generation, and he's unironically and unapologetically good-natured, what's WB's/DC's excuse?

>What does this mean?
It means you're an attention prostitute, OP
Funny, how these threads appear every time the MCU fricks up.
You might wanna delay gloating until Captain Marvel fails this time, Mr Incel.
That's a good point, also it's happening at the same time Indy 5 is bombing in theaters, so shills are bringing up the Flash and threads like these:
Man of Steel wasn't trying to build into anything.
In fact they had to tack on a bunch of stuff in later movies to attempt to connect a DCEU to the events of Man of Steel.
Even The Flush adds a scene to explain "where was Flush during the End of the World".

>ladderbro still fapping to that child
How sad.
It means audiences are tired of being teased with an impossibly optimistic ideal, like a thirsty African child hates the one dangling a water bottle in front of him. There are much more powerful characters in the DCU. Plenty of them being heroes. Superman is no where near the strongest.
>he doesn’t make quips
>he isn’t edgy
These are the only two personalities allowed in comics
>boohoohoo i am too le powerful, sympathize with me
golly gee, i wonder why people aren't interested in this shtick when it seems like everyone's lives are always spinning out of control
That isn’t Superman. Superman isn’t some loner outcast. He’s this friendly likeable guy who likes to help people. The man just radiates good vibes.
So Superman has a strict no-kill rule yet he constantly threatens to murder people to get what he wants.
What would he do if someone called him out on his bluff?
That was when he was a chad willing to fulfill the thread.
No, stop making these threads
You know a poster can only have 3 threads in a general at a time, right?
The fact that there are 5 of them suggests there's at least 2 people, likely 3 or 4. Either way, it's not 1 person.
No one believes you
Okay. Let's ignore logic for a second and tackle another question.
Why do you keep responding to these threads? Because every time you do they get bumped to the top of the page. You're promoting these threads with your rage. People enjoy making you seethe.

>there are 3 or 4 morons instead of just 1
okay?
>complains about bait threads popping up
>takes the bait
The only reason they're making these threads are because Supergays are moronic.
Its weird that DC had the entire 1986 crisis to reboot Superman to make him more interesting for marvel readers but then just made him boring and replaced his attitude with "Le epic wholesome guy" persona
Actually, not even the "epic"
Gods and monsters Superman is real. Why do you want to ignore him?
