Why isn't A Bug's Life brought up as often as other Pixar classics?

Not saying it failed or anything. Just somewhat overlooked.

nah, it wasn't considered "classic" even before kevin spacey's disrepute. and disney doesn't actually give a shit about what's cancelled or not, jungle book is written by rudyard kipling and that is straight up colonialism. king louis is a trope of nonwhite people, mowgli is a trope of native collaborators that work with the british as they occupy. riki tiki tavi is the same. if they cancelled peter pan it's probably because some native americans from canada started b***hing, but idpol liberals don't actually read history or they would have called for disney to cancel jungle book too. the mouse gives zero shits unless it affects the bottom line. i don't think kevin spacey affects their bottom line for voicing the villain of all things in a single movie

What the frick is intertextual about fricking Antz? That definition technically applies to Shrek even if it makes you sound like a complete gay for using it but Antz has nothing about it that would apply to that definition. And the movie about the farting green ogre is not as sophisticated as you think it is.

Most spammers are raging lunatics but this guy does nothing but post factoids of meaningless shit.

As much as I fricking hate Sharktalegay, as stupid as his takes are, he's still obviously posting out of passion. It's like sad and irritating that he has all this passion and love for certain aspects of the animation industry yet he's so keen on putting all that passion into here of all places. Like I get that Cinemaphile is a place to discuss cartoons and comics but the guy would be so much better suited either writing a blog, making factoid videos, or something else that's actually productive. Hell if he just made a youtube channel that was just random blurbs and facts he'd probably get a decent enough following and at least have something positive to put out there. It's just sad to see all this genuine passion be wasted on something so pointless.

The problem with his “passion” is that he’s a raging moron that will choke off discussion of movies he autisticly hates like Ratatouille or Shrek 2. Not to mention how much he derails threads by just randomly talking about other movies. People here just don’t plain like him either but he insists on posting here still because of the attention.
