I bet Courtney has been stonewalling every potential Kurt Cobain movie. Maybe the only good thing she's ever done.

Grunge shouldn’t even be considered an actual genre, it’s like musical mass psychosis.

It was just a fashion label, not a musical one.
Alice in Chains were a hair metal band but because they wore flannel and played in Seattle they got to be considered the new hip thing instead of the lame dying thing.

They're definitely more than just a grunge band (emo, psychedelic, shoegaze, electronic, etc.) which is why they're better than all those straight grunge bands. Also Corgan as a better guitarist than Cobain and a much better songwriter. Cobain was a decent songwriter for their style of music but Corgan eclipses him.

This. I will never understand the appeal of Corgan, despite liking some Pumpkins songs, like Tarantula and Doomsday Clock. He's such a homosexual in every sense of the word and one of the worst vocalists I've ever heard.

not a theory but for the longest time this guy had a 'kurt cobain was murdered' show on public access, and he always had the camera too close to his face so you mostly saw up his nose. Used to wander around town filming his shit and everyone thought he was crazy. I think he actually ran for city council last year too. anyway here's wonderwall

I was born the day his body was found and I'm were just like him so I'm obviously Kurt reincarnated even though I have brown eyes, am right handed and can't play guitar.

Also, feels good to finally hit 28. I really thought just a little since I was a teenager that I might die at 27 because of this homosexual.

I grew up just a few miles from where Randy Rhodes was killed. I was at home playing as a kid when that happened and believe his soul leapt into me and that's why I learned to play guitar.

Killed by *them* because he refused to listen to, or respect, people who thought they should be in charge of him but he was too popular to ever possibly be brought in line. Their next album would have probably been GOAT considering how good You Know You're Right is, but Kurt would have became an insane twitter troony the millisecond that site was created and everyone would hate him 10x more.

It means Empire was a mega huge album and they toured the frick out of it, then released a couple of good soundtrack singles, and then by the time they got around to recording the follow-up to Empire the entire music landscape had changed and the band was falling apart.
