like it matters who you support. what does that amount to?
you gotta contribute to the heckin collective consciousness bro! you gotta raise AWARENESS
>you gotta contribute to the heckin collective consciousness bro
this unironically
otherwise you're a cringe materialist
Insane cope
I'm just thinking about the ethical reasoning behind supporting/not supporting the movement. It appears to be a fairly popular issue. Not saying I'm gonna go on strike or anything just thinking. This is a discussion board after all.
>There's two kinds of spurs, my friend...those that come in by the door, and those that come in by the window
why does every old-timey mexican in media dress like speedy gonzales
was Speedy Gonzales funny because of a stereotype about lazy mexicans?
no, that's why Slow Poke Rodriguez was funny
>stereotype about lazy mexicans?
wasnt a thing until the past 30 years when whites let all the hipsanics take the manual labor jobs and then had to make excuses for shit "oh they want these jobs cause theyre lazy! and sleep ina wheelbarrow!" uhhuh ok.
Latin America absolutely loves Speedy Gonzales
THOSE ARE FRICKING GUSANOS AND MY UNCLE CALLED ME LATINXERBELLE ONE TIME!!!!!!
>literally just Stalin dressed like a mariachi
>”bro should I support (current event) or not”
>does nothing either way
Who cares it’s not like anyone in Cinemaphile does anything they just think and post memes online
Hey Trotsky, mind if I pick your brain?
lame
you're losing your touch, carlos
eh, I kinda liked it
1) You have no obligation to support them.
2) The support isn't reciprocal.
3) People asking for support are no different than beggars.
>) People asking for support are no different than beggars.
people asking for a fair share of the profits are beggars
moron braindead wagie bull shit
>the side fighting for decent wages goes against your interest
bull shit classist bull shit
What is a fair share of the profit? It's not just the writers that take part in the creation of movies. There are many other workers.
>>the side fighting for decent wages
Motherfricker how does scriptwrites getting paid more affect 99% of society? They chose to go into a socially useless profession and get mad when their oay reflects that.
Seething troony.
Both sides are against your interests, they both regard you as an enemy and should be treated in kind. The only difference is that one of them (the studios) is a bit more openly israeli and cynical, but at the end of the day both their endgames mean fundamentally the same thing for you.
tl;dr don’t support either side, support it going on as long as possible to maximize the suffering of both groups.
I generally agree with this. I haven't been to a movie theater in over 2 years. I unsubscribed from Netflix like a year ago. I don't find anything from Hollywood generally interesting. Why should I support the workers (or executives) of an industry if the product from said industry sucks?
>support it going on as long as possible to maximize the suffering of both groups.
The studios might actually be the winners in this situation because halting production of new content, that nobody actually watches by the way, might actually be what makes streaming services actually profitable.
People I hope die horribly, from least to most hatred
3. The writers
2. The producers
1. OP
I feel like I mostly desire a new generation of writers to be given an opportunity and the majority in the business currently to be culled only the best surviving, yes perhaps the producers and higher ups are partially responsible for the low quality writing but that won't be fixed by supporting these current writers, if you kill them off though and they have to get other jobs new writers will have a renaissance
>the comic makes it look like a mexican bandito snuck through a window to kill Trotsky
>the actual assassination was much more ridiculous
yeah i'm not siding with twitter homosexuals who have been killing entertainment for the past decade
98% of those people openly hate me
But should we still support them in the interest of worker's rights?
I hope this whole thing plays out forever. Ideally Hollywood will be forgotten and we will be forced to performing our own folk stories and returning to the traditions of local theater for our culture.
