Why the FRICK has everyone in this show been reconnected into either being black, gay or a woman?
At least have some Mexicans, 50% is black for no reason.

I had no idea gay was a race and or gender.
Don't you have anything new to post?
Does Hollywood have anything other than subversion and molestation?
As opposed to the Catholic Church?
when gays join the Catholic church, at least they wind up ruining 11 year old buttholes instead of decent comics and cartoons
The majority of pedophiles in the church are straight m8
i can bet it's a lie, and reven if not, they are still pedos, they sneak in, nobody invites them, nobody encourages them
Unlike gay community
well problem of catholic church is still gay infestation problem. the organization itself is not about this at all and you know it
Also: whataboutism
>At least have some Mexicans
Black people despise Mexicans, they'd rather watch a show with frickall diversity than a show with a single Mexican
Why?
Unironically racism.
Dangerously based. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
Actually screw that, it's fricking hilarious. Come on now, could they at least *try* to make it not so bloody obvious?
Yet no black people actually watch this shit, nor any of these other white liberal guilt diversity trash.
Theyre shapeshifters, so they can be whatever you bigot.
Explain all the other characters
Specifically to make you upset.
That's right. They looked at your posting history. They saw what you hate. And they *laughed.* They said, "let's make a Sandman adaptation that this specific poster can't enjoy."
They've been waiting for you to whine about this, OP. You played right into their hands.
death is hot, which is all I cared about
based
>death is hot
There are no Mexicans in Europe.
How many Mexican actors live and work in the UK?
/pol/gays be like “blacks people need a REASON to exist in my worldview”
Yes
unironically yes
in fact i'am still looking for reason for them to exist at all
>gay
The original comic was very gay bro
John Dee's driver
Death
The soccer player that died during Sound of her Wings
Mazikeen
Hector Hall
Rose + Brother + mom + unity + lawyer
Lucien
Constantine (apparently legal issues)
Constantine's Ex
The furies are now indian
Cain and Abel are also... Indian?
Alex Burgess's lover what's his name
Lucifer is... Technically not gendered in the comic, but I guess it counts since he's modeled on David Bowie
Choronzon
Glob/Brute (or whatever they renamed that nightmare as)
So of the mortal characters, that's 11 that are either a different race or gender. Plus the 11 non-mortal entities that are also in some way off.
Was there anyone who's gay that wasn't in the books? Corinthian I guess
>Was there anyone who's gay that wasn't in the books? Corinthian I guess
Corinthian definitely preyed on men, but there wasn't explicit interactions between them in the comics. Most of the gay characters are from the books, although I think we got more gayness in the 24/7 diner of all places.
Diner might have been gayer, might not have. In the comic we don't get the details of who fricked who in the orgy.
Lucien and Lucifer were terrible. Lucien was written insufferably and Lucifer was just poorly acted and charismaless
Rose and co. were about neutral. Not amazing but passable. Some of the writing at the end of Doll's House contradicts the point of the Doll's House metaphor, how they were the playthings of the metaphysical characters, but whatever. That's a larger writing issue rather than casting
Death and John Dee's driver were both excellent, really good performances. Both made their respective episodes two of the best.
The rest were noticeable aesthetically but were too minor or close enough to really stand out. Except for Constantine. The less said about that Constantine episode the better.
>Lucien was written insufferably
How was she insufferable? Because she was critical of Morpheus being a stubborn butthole?
>Cain and Abel are also... Indian?
I guess the people doing the casting wanted some middle east actors but just decided to say frick that and cast an Indian which the UK has plenty of.
this could have been your Death anons
pretty face, but I don't think she'd inherently be a better death because of it
any specific acting credits that you believe would make her a better choice?
I'm happy with what we got then.
"What if demons not that bad" is a pretty common story trope.
The Japanese don't know enough about it to be subversive.
The Japanese have written about noble demons for ages you infantile weeb
And for ages they have been totally ignorant about Christianity or the background of what a demon actually is.
Demons are malicious spirits who have committed terrible sins in previous lives
No.
Yes
Um, that's not at all accurate
Some malevolent spirits do fit that description, but demons do not at all.
A demon is a demon
Yeah but not all malevolent spirits are demons. You're conflating a specific class of entity with a broad range of entities.
That’s literally what a demon is
You're absolutely wrong and terribly misinformed. You're liable to get yourself in trouble with that worldview.
>malevolent
>not human
>supernatural
What do you call it?
Fairies
Hispanics and asians aren't seen as diverse enough. Gotta be black, gay or trans.
the litmus test for it mostly being black hate is that no one has commented on my boys Claim and Abel being pakis now
nta and not a racist but Cain and Abel were pretty well-casted. They looked just like the comics
>They looked just like the comics
Cain doesn't look at all the same though. And he was way too nice, instead of coming off sinister and mean. I was okay with the casting but they played him far too lightly.
>At least have some Mexicans
I prefer asians.
It's "retconned", you knuckledragger.
Good Omens is very positive towards the Christian God, and draws a contrast between the God himself who is good and his followers (heaven) who merely cloak themselves in the attire of goodness. Which is a pretty obvious allegory for IRL Christians who do the same thing.
Also, read Murder Mysteries if you still think Gaiman is a Satanist.
It ain't a meme buddy
All of the shows in pic related aired across 2 decades. You're just seething that black people are on your TV.
>across 2 decades
Try the last 5 years.
No, you moron. Robin Hood aired a decade and a half ago.
Why do so many of them have those weird bulging on the underside of their eyes?
All of these are from different shows, anon.
But that is his point.
While I don't agree with the raceswapping, the demographic inaccuracy isn't as egregious as other shows.
>The Endless were always shapeshifters who adjusted their appearance to fit in with whatever time period and setting they were in. Off the top of my head I've seen Dream and Death bend their races to Arab, Japanese, Native American, and African.
>John Constantine, Gotham City, and Arkham Asylum, the Justice League were reportedly off limits because of rights/licensing/royalty issues. Hence Johanna, Buffalo, New York and the unnamed mental asylum. And the exclusion of the Martian Manhunter and Justice League
I was still annoyed by the other race and gender changes. Why is black woman the default to change a character into?
Death should've been played by an Asian or Latina in her default form. How about true diversity instead of just black or white?
And Dream should've had black eyes during special moments for dramatic effect or to intimidate his foes.
It should also been an animated anthology like Love, Death + Robots. Maybe make the overarching story live action. But crazy looking and avant garde in the production design like Dave McKean's MirrorMask.

Sorry anon, that would require a decent budget and a little bit of visual creativity
>Sorry anon, that would require a decent budget and a little bit of visual creativity
https://movieweb.com/netflix-the-sandman-mega-budget-reportedly-revealed/
"The Sandman is one of those projects that, until recent years, seemed like an implausible story to put on screen in any format. To think of the series being done on a TV budget would be nothing short of laughable. However, it seems that in this case, that budget per episode is one that many independent films would jump at the chance to have, coming in at around $15 million per episode. Over the series, that equates to over $165 million, making it one of the most expensive series to ever be made by the platform."
Black is the easiest, laziest way to have "diversity" in your show or movie or comic. If you wanna hit a woke/diverse/representation quota, just make a black lesbian.
It feels like what a lot of writers are doing now. "Sir, we haven't met the diversity quota!"
"Eh, throw in a black lesbian"
>People are black
>People are gay
Oh no such a horrific travesity that such a thing ruins a character forever! if a change in melanin or sexual orientation is you're largest fricking issue with a show you're a child.
I didn’t know it was coming out until it was released. I didnt think it was too bad.
