You're late. His last special was filmed in his backyard and the audience consisted of 30 friends.

He’s one of the actors from Mystery Men. The original anti-capeshit flick. Pretty based if you ask me.

He had a lot of stage energy. He had so much energy that he had the circular stage where the audience is facing in every direction. He would wander around the stage like a kid hopped up on sugar, you never really knew what he was gonna say next (symbolized by the fact that he could turn suddenly in any new direction on the stage). I don’t think he’s good anymore, I think after he made those movies he lost his soul. But for a while there Dane was bringing something to stand up that other people weren’t: passion. There was so much boring observational shit like Jeff Foxworthy or oh-so-ironic stuff like Mitch Hedberg. Dane was just authentic, pure comedy, almost like a modern day Jester. I appreciate him for what he did, even though it wasn’t amusing for very long.

based take. he was just FUN. yeah, yeah, you can scrutinize and analyze his performances and call it vulgar or low brow or whatever. but he made the performance FUN. it wasnt just dry jokes. it wasnt just long winded stories with quirky observations. it was fun, and the kind of fun like you had hanging out with your friends.

Patrice O’Neal and Bill Burr were in the same scene as Dane in Boston, and they always gave him his props for having the audience in the palm of his hand, even if the material was hacky

      Unfathomably based take, King.

When he was first starting out he would always make time for his fans. Plus he used MySpace in it's prime to connect to his fans.

I respect his drive and hustle but eventually he burnt himself out.

High energy, did references/impressions. You do understand that "jokes" in the pre-internet meme days were just references to other movies right?

He streams COD on twitch now. The weird part about it is he doesn't even try to be entertaining or funny when he's playing, which is like the whole reason people would watch you. He's just bossy and passive aggressive and shitty
