The Trump-ish rich folk antagonize him and reject him. People are disgusted by him and think he is mentally ill. His work buddy tries to get him to "man up" by giving him a gun, a masculine symbol.
But this just causes him more problems, it keeps popping out of his pants when he wants it hidden. He stops struggling to conform and embraces his feelings, and starts feeling better. But he is still suicidal, and there is still some masculinity left.
He then murders his masculine buddy, cutting out his eyeball with a knife. Now, hair even longer, full makeup/lipstick done and fancy outfit on, masculine presence surgically removed, he saunters and prances his way to the talk show. “Oh, one last thing,” he says “Can you call me Joker, instead of Arthur?” They hesitate, but accept. It’s only polite. They brought him on to ridicule him, but he is going to defy that and be shameless and proud.
He crosses his legs effeminately, adopts a sassy effeminate way of talking, and says to the big dumb rich drumpkin host "What do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner and a society that abandons him and treats him like crap? you get what you fricking deserve!" and kills him.
Outside, a clown revolution is happening (complete with "Resist" signs). The old rich masculine order is being killed and replaced by those who welcome people like Joker.
For doing his part in ending the old order, they rescue him from the evil police, and he dances like a ballerina on top of the cop car to an adoring crowd. Directed by Todd Philips, ~~*Todd Bunzl*~~.
