the first episode
The lesbian sex scene
interesting premise but goes completely full moron and stops making logical sense about halfway through.
The premise and plot are just a vehicle for the themes and monologues. Had they been sitting at a restaurant and just talked for 8 episodes it would have been the same

The plot and premise and monologues are interrelated.
The Tiananmen Square monologue to the former boyfriend is directly related to the last scene in the magnetic glass transport box.
Offerman’s surname is literally a related to the character he is playing.
if i hated Men and Annihilation but remember liking Ex Machina, will I like this?
Devs is definitely more like Ex Machina than Annihilation. Lots of guys sitting around monologuing about stuff. Kino high tech scifi environment and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately though it is nowhere near as well written as EM. The acting is still good though
cailee
i recognize her
dat bod
this show was mega kino. wish we could get a season 2
What is it
I watched the pilot and I understood everything they were trying to do and that they were also doing it in a way that doesn't actually accomplish anything.
That said, it did have a vibe, so I imagine that's what people watched it for.
whoops bad pic
garland embarrassed himself by the end. waste of a nice pilot. but cailee was hot af so well met sir.
>Devs
So what is this show about? Devs or something?
Tech company builds machine that simulates all of reality so it can predict the future. Espionage intrigue ensues.
>Tech company builds machine that simulates all of reality so it can predict the future
How would you contain all reality in a machine?
Quantum shenanigans
wot if determinism
>DEVS
it has to do with god doesn't it
it had a lot of great scenes.

The poem is very kino
It was a waste of time. Show went absolutely nowhere. When you listen to Cinemaphile you get what you fricking deserve.
It feels like a series you watch with someone, which is probably why I couldn't connect with it.

The soundtrack. The worst part was the lead actress trying to do an American accent for 8 hours or how ever long the series was.
It was presented with enough sense that I could buy into their idea that such a predicting machine could actually be plausible and would open up a crazy amount of possibilities.
Of course it was a bit flawed by taking the hard determinism route and suggesting most people couldnt change anything you were doing while observing the future in real time.
I genuinely would have preferred to read this instead of watching it.
I really liked it. It has an interesting premise and they did a good job exploring it. The only problems I have is the random Russian plot that's not really important to the story and really bad acting from the main girl and some other characters.
