    >Why is Norman in a movie based on the Ultimate version of Spider-Man in a form similar to his Ultimate version?
    Dunno, man.

Why was Norman the lizard in the ultimates?

Because Ultimate was a bad parody of the 90s written by a hack from the start.

They're in the Ultimate universe, Ultimate Green Goblin is a frickhuge monster

the only people people know about ultimate are ultimatum and that black spiderman is a canon immigrant from it. you can't be exasperated that people didn't read something that wasn't even read when it was new.

        >wasn't even read when it was new
Holy fricking casual. Ultimate Spider-Man is one of the most popular books of its time. Why the frick do you think parts of it keep bleeding into adaptations?

Ultimates was outselling 616 by a lot for awhile there. USM was hugely popular, it got a video game and a TV show.

Not to mention that before post-Ultimatum renumeration, it got to 130+ issues.
And I distinctly remember Bagley USM' artwork on a lot of merchandise in early 2000s. That is when it wasn't artwork of Raimi's Spider-Man at least.

Monster Goblin is a terrible design and always will be. Half the fun of Gobby is the campiness mixed with Halloween and a tinge of Medieval.

I mean, he dies in the first 5 minutes so who cares, they probably wanted to use Vulture but then they realized that a scawny old man wouldn't be strong enough to hold Peter still in that multiversal reactor thingy

Was t the goblin just this big frick off monster in Ultimate comics?

If this universe Peter was a successful, financially sound and put together guy, I like to think it's Norman was a down on his luck guy who could never get it together and never rose beyond minion.

I liked to imagine this is Norman after a bad batch/overdose of Goblin serum mutated him too much. Him putting blonde Peter in the accelerator was him trying to get rid of him after causing his fall from grace (can't have a company if you're mutated into huge goblin monster while seemingly losing your mental faculties, maybe Oscorp was absorbed by Alchemax).

And what did he do to that universe's Gwen?

He then procceded to take blonde Peter's Gwen into the air, shoot her at the top of the bridge, leaving her body broken and bloody on a crater.
