Yup. It was initially called Blazing Samurai in early development. It was an inversion of an early 2010s trend of westernizing Asian films, in this case making a western film Asian.
Its "jokes" are just nonstop fourth wall breaks and toilet humor. Visually uninspired, fails to capture the humor or spirit of Mel Brooks, just incredibly, almost offensively bland. Literally the only thing remotely interesting about it was it being saved from seven years of development hell, it's a Duke Nukem Forever scenario.
>looks like shit >worst title I’ve ever fricking seen >bland character designs >trailer had multiple fart jokes >the rest of the jokes looked like some variant of WELL THAT JUST HAPPENED
I’m sure there’s plenty of other reasons too
…Same cannot be said for the godawful abomination that was the “Big Nate” short before it. Felt like the second coming of the Angela Anaconda short before the Digimon movie.
Truly one of the animated movies ever made.
Still better than Lightyear
Poor Kakamucho
>How do you adapt a classic Mel Brooks movie
This is a Blazing Saddles adaptation? WTF?
Yup. It was initially called Blazing Samurai in early development. It was an inversion of an early 2010s trend of westernizing Asian films, in this case making a western film Asian.
But Blazing Saddles was his best movie. It was so good, why mess with perfection?
It was pretty obvious considering all the fart jokes
Yes sadly.
It wasn’t worth the weight

Literally who?

This is what Kung Pow: Enter the Fist must feel like for people who hate Kung Pow
>The Critical Drinker
Is he going to whine how woke the movie was or something
>WOKE SJW RETELLING OF "PROBLEMATIC" CLASSIC FILM GETS R@PED IN THE BOX OFFICE
While TCD is a reactionary, he thankfully dosn’t make that kind of clickbait
No, it's the opposite. This movie is so bad that it can't even do offensive comedy right.
>An insulting adaptation of a classic
Didn't Mel Brooks work on this?
>Didn't Mel Brooks work on this?
He produced it…and stars in it as a voice of one of the characters.
It's a kung fu Panda ripoff that came out fricking 14 years after Kung Fu Panda
Okay I had to searched up this fricker channel, only to find that this video doesn’t exist
Blazing Samurai actually released? I thought that movie was buried in dusty archives forever
Movie was actually pretty good imo
…Same cannot be said for the godawful abomination that was the “Big Nate” short before it. Felt like the second coming of the Angela Anaconda short before the Digimon movie.
So. About that movie, guys/
The story of how it came to be and was shelved is more interesting than the actual movie, like most lost then found media
did he remove the video?
The only think that's going to be worthwhile to SOMEBODY is going to be a compilation of all the fart scenes.
Not me!
please link when they do, king
Blazing Saddles sucked and Critical Drinker’s videos are unwatchable.
>Directed by the guy who did Lion King.
Are these veterans losing their touch?
