How do you explain it without making it even MORE fricked up, Anon? Go on. Tell me.
>Hey Greg, remember how I used to give you a BJ on the down low while watching sitcoms?
>Then as soon as you blew your load I'd turn into Rose before you were done and pretend to be her while swallowing the mouthful then tell you that if you'd just done that instead of crushing puss, she'd still be here?
>Good times.
That's fricked up, and I love it
this was funny. PD/Rose was a shapeshifter tho, and could have easily made a throat that led straight to a uturus.
>Yeah remeber how you never spit it out.
Because it implied a really gross and edgy plot point and Rebecca are whoever was in charge of that episode regretted it.
What's there to explain? Amy turned into Rose to guilt Greg because she's worst gem and got caught doing something messed up
But I like the implications that they used to frick on the down low
It just feels like they were hinting that they would expand more on Amethyst's and Greg's past but then they never did.
because sugar didn't have the balls to just say greg and amethyst had casual sex before and possibly after rose died
>Hey Amethyst?
>Yeah buddy?
>Did you and dad ever...
>...what?
>Y'know?
>I don't?
>...have se-
>Oh! Yeah, all the time. After Rose died we-
>Wait, I don't want the details!
>Oh in that case, yeah, before Rose died, after Rose died-
>Wait wha-
>When you were in her-
>...
>...when she was dyin-
>Amethyst!
>What? You asked, didn't you?
>Why was this never explained
Greg should have seen it coming, you can't frick with a person for 20 years or more and expect them to not develop romantic feelings for you.
Humans form attachments, but gems are usually so indifferent and dismissive.
I'm so mad that the show never focused on these characters pasts instead of the townies
The people who followed the series ever since the Jasper's first apperance know the true pain that filler episode with filler characters was, good god NO ONE FRICKING CARES ABOUT RONALDO.
I think the worst part is that the last season tossed the townies that we wasted seasons of episodes on instead of the stuff people wanted to see right into the fricking trash making their time wasting even more pointless. Hell, most of them just disappeared off screen without any fanfare. We could have cut a couple of Onion episodes.
But anon, don't you want to see the little autismfreak that's secretly a quirky chungus who misses his fisherman father more?
Amethyst felt greg took rose away from them, she wanted to relive the past, but realized things will never be the same again. Amethyst, in my mind, seemed like a directionless teenager who kept getting abandoned and felt worthless.
>Amethyst, in my mind, seemed like a directionless teenager who kept getting abandoned and felt worthless
It's weird that she ends up being the most stable gem by the end of the original series, since Garnet's always splitting and Pearl is Pearl
It felt good in the moment and isn't mentioned ever again like everything in SU that isn't about lesbians or rape.
>Coomers think everything is sex related
Bad bait
This is the SU thing I just can't get over with, the amount of innuendos about relations and trauma and melodrama are enough to drown an elephant
I just wanted a cool space rock magic girl adventure
>cool space rock magic girl adventure
That stopped being an option with the reveal of them being refugees of a failed rebellion, living with no real direction.
>living with no real direction.
There was a direction: do and play along with whatever the frick Rose felt like doing at the moment.
At the time the series began, that direction specifically would be babysitting Steven so she could live out her human larp fantasy.
>the amount of innuendos about relations and trauma and melodrama are enough to drown an elephant
Sounds interesting
>all of it's lesbian focus
lost all interest
If it wasn't for the drama and feelings, SU probably would've had a much smaller fandom and died more quietly. Up to you whether that's good or bad
>I just wanted a cool space rock magic girl adventure
maybe when you're older you'll appreciate it. for me steven universe was great because it would have these heady interpersonal conflict episodes. tiger millionaire, and week of sardonyx too.
There was no implication of sex. You just think there was because your brain is damaged from overconsumption of porn.
>Le doubling down in bad bait
Oh you are a sad one.
>y-you're a sad one!
Sad like the cumbrains that can't watch a children's cartoon without imagining sex? Put down your penis and pick up a bible.
>Not denying being a bait-tard
I accept your concession.
Then again Rebecca drew Ed Edd and Eddy porn so you could make an argument that this series was going to shit
It was a weirdly sinister episode that never came up again
You guys think Amethyst would frick Steven as Rose? Would that be some kind of selfcest?
Frankly Amethyst seems like the sort of girl to suck you off for a Scooby Snack, only to get really clingy if it's anything less than full on degrading 'Cum on my face and tell me I'm a worthless runt' mode cumdumpstering.
that's a hot idea, a real lewd drawgay needs to get on this
>fricking your crushes son while he calls you mom
that's a whole minefield of degeneracy
>that's a whole minefield of degeneracy
nah it's therapy lol. steven can easily work out all his mommy issues with tons of kinky sex with the gems
>FRICK...
>Don't swear.
Always gets me.
Nah, Steven's fine around quartzes.
I want her feet on my face
Amethyst’s emotional issues led to her simultaneously being friends with Greg while also having a hidden disdain and blaming him for Rose due to the fact Amethyst couldn’t understand things like having a child since she was a Gem. She had a shitload of emotions but since she and the Crystal Gems weren’t human, they didn’t know how to process them
It’s subtext and the whole theme of the series which is why Rose had Steven in the first place due to the fact he could be a Gem able to grow like a human could
One of my favorite episodes. Such a good scene where Steven sheds another layer of innocence while we gain more layers of complexity in the relationships beyond Steven's childhood whimsy.
It is weird that they made a plot about Amethyst fricking Greg, never mentioned it again then spent the next few flashbacks acting like she was a kid in the 80's/90's. They eventually dropped that when they showed her acting like modern Amethyst a couple hundred years ago but it makes the whole thing ring as super weird.
Really Amethyst had a lot of aborted plot threads even by SU standards.
I think that's less aborted plotlines and more they didn't have any real idea of how they wanted things fleshed out. Like it's easy to just have an unexplored idea of the Gems being millenia old and dipping in and out of human history but then when you start developing them it's harder to reckon with. Especially when you ultimately want the characters to be more oor less intellectual peers with a 20something mooch trapped in his "my parents just don't get me" phase.
Because nobody cares
Yeah the show just wasn't good.
You explain
