Her marriage wasn't by choice so it would be only natural. It's also possible she was already preggers when she married.
Trained him wrong. Azula was a psychob***h like her dad so took to his lessons and style easily as it resonated with her. Zuko was a compassionate mama's boy and the "source" of your firebending combined with presence of the sun affects how strong it is (see Zuko barely being able to bend at all when he first joined the team). After sorting shit out and finding a "source" he clicked with, he was capable of beating his dad via cucking his lightning, and was matching Azula (likely would have won if he didnt have to save Katara)
He's the nicest and most moral out of them. Remember, Iron joined the white lotus after his son died and realised the cost of war afterwards.
Since the fire nation under Sozin and afterwards encouraged/taught people to use their anger as motivation for firebending, that's why his bending stopped after joining Aang and why they needed to meet the sun warriors.
The whole point of the episode where they meet the dragons is for them, especially Aang, to realise that fire isn't a destructive force fueled by anger and for Zuko to find a new motivation for his firebending.
I think Zuko is a person that learns best by doing. He hit a wall with training, but once he started getting into real battles his power level steadily increased until he was nearly equal to Azula.
