He's catholic, Daredevil was able keep his religion just fine and that's like the least important thing about Kurt that two many adaptations focus to hard. It should be a secondary thing about his character. With the main thing being his fun loving attitude contrasted against his tragic life.

There's more to his character then the catholic. Matter of fact I think Kurt being catholic is more interesting then Daredevil being catholic. However like 50% of adaptations make that the main thing about his character when it's something that sort of rarely comes up all things considered.
That's just a result of (in this case literal) Falnderization. So many characters get a shtick or a bit that came up occasionally enough to remind you it's there and suddenly it's all they can do or say
Did you even watch Xmen TAS? Nightcrawler was a literal monk, most of his personality revolved around his Catholic faith. It was so strong it made Wolverine pray in church and made Mystique who was mocking Nightcrawler for abandoning him feel guilt.
It is impossible to develop it in a meaningful way without the catholic plot. By the way, this character's big deal is precisely being a christian with a devil appearance. If you think making him a personalityless homosexual is a better option, you are mentally sick as woke homosexuals applauding

Not that anon but I agree. There’s way more to Kurt than his religious convictions. It’s a defining trait sure when his character grew. But it was not his sole purpose behind his very existence.
