You would have to be insane to actually try to defend that man when you know from the start the evidence leaves no room for doubt. Insane or perhaps paid a frightening amount of money... In any case, it's not the lawyer's job to determine who is right or wrong. Attorneys are there compare the facts of the case and arrive at a conclusion that comes closest to the truth (for the whole truth can never really be known) through rational argument. Only when all of the facts have been examined is judgement is made by the jury.
