Before I saw the episode, the whole "hey, maybe we're all living in a simulation" sounded like silly shit to me. But that episode really made it click for me; if a computer ever shit out a ton of simulation versions of you/your world for whatever reason, what's the likelihood your reality is the true "base reality"?

Aaron Paul needs to start taking some risks. He keeps getting cast in the later seasons of shows after they've already ran out of good ideas and turned to shit. He needs to be on the first season of something again, look how good breaking bad turned out for him.
