              Yes, that’s the intention.
              But it’s poorly done, uncanny.
It more makes me think the director has never been outside a city ever so can’t appreciate the power of the natural world without applying a saturation effect, than it does make me feel that this land is mystical amazing super nature.

Tolkien was very conflicted on the orcs, and said there might be women. It isn't clear on anything.

And orcs have generations the war captain orc in the hobbits father was involved in a feud with the dwarves. Its just the Uruk-Hai that are born from pits. Movie gay

Larry Fink has infinite money. As long as he's handing out SJW good-boy checks to companies to produce propaganda and corrupt well-loved classics, this practive is never gonna stop.

When will people realize it's not about money? Larry Fink has INFINITE MONEY.

This. They print money and hand it to BlackRock because our government is incapable of doing the bailouts themselves, so they claim. This gives Larry Fink the responsibility AND authority that our elected officials are supposed to have.

For those that don't understand this post, the Federal Reserve basically hands Blackrock no-bid contracts and pays them billions, and they use this money to buy up all the housing in the country to turn everyone into a renter class. Aka neo-serfs.

            It hinges on sufficient information.
            And on writing quality.
Black people in themselves are not a detriment to the show, there are ways to include them that don’t break the universe, that are believable.
I’m not prepared yet to call it one way only for Bezos to go “gotcha” and it was actually the other way.
96% it’s looking that way but I’d not give them the satisfaction of getting to say ‘told you so’.

Sympathise with your having been burned 30 times over so unprepared to risk it ever again, but I’ll not join you.

do you think they care about the shows quality? their first priority is to put a black person is, their next priority is to make it work

nothing you say even matters. LOTR is a pure anglo fantasy story. it will never change from that. Amazon are not making LOTR, they're using money to make a pozzed fanfiction novel with black people. thats it

Did you miss the bit where I said it’d make a good drinking game?
Like how the matrix is a good drinking game, every time Neo gets a wooden expression, drink!

Thing that has my suspicion up, is the timing of the releases. Dropped Chicken McWings Yass Queen early, ride the notoriety wave, puncture it in the last minute etc. etcetera.
Amazon may not know how to do a good show but I’d not underestimate their ability to run a superlative marketing campaign.

Not arguing about the show, but about Bezos ability to red rag a bull.
And if he’s successful with that, even a mediocre show might just get a pass with normies.

Yeah, but there’s something more irritating about boys whose balls haven’t dropped yet.
Weaving just was. And he had the theatrical chops to carry it.

This young Elrond, well, haven’t seen a single full scene from him yet so would be a fool to declare certitude.
But I have notable doubts, he needs to clear the first disbelief barrier.

It looks SO out of step with the established aesthetics of LotR and bears zero resemblance to the Elrond we have come to know. Its just bizarre casting, but I guess he was in GoT so they have to hire all these meme actors from GoT for some reason now.

I hate this decision to make the Elves look so homely and modern, Galadriel and Gil Galad are the only decent looking ones so far.

Long hair Jackson vision was never cannon.
I know we’re supposed to be on the visual medium board but this story, lore, informs. It isn’t shaped by.

So yes, he looks like a zoomer but in fairness he is one by elf standards, he’s a newborn in this age. Unlike Galadriel with millenia of life already under their belt.

Zoomer Elrond could work, not a hero, but as his balls drop he grows into the role.
Further, in Elven adulthood he becomes wise because he knows just how stupid he personally was in youth.

Even Galadriel is still relatively young at the start of the 2nd age. Equivalent to a 26 year old, in human equivalent terms, if you accept Tolkiens autistic ideas about elvish aging.

    >On the other hand the act of procreation, being of a will and desire shared and indeed controlled by the fëa, was achieved at the speed of other conscious and willful acts of delight or of making. It was one of the acts of chief delight, in process and in memory, in an Elvish life, but its intensity alone provided its importance, not its time or length: it could not have been endured for a great length of time, without disastrous “expense”.

    >But the act of procreation not being one of growth until the union of the seed and being under full control of the will does not take long -- though it is longer and of more intense delight in Elves than in Men: too intense to be long endured.
